I was looking at your screenshots...and I was just amazed at the amount of detail you put in your game.
First off, the drawbridge. How did you do that!? There wasn't even an object that looked like a drawbridge, was there?
Secondly, how did you do the see through wall?
Excellent job!

Oh yeah, and how did you make the ladder work correctly.

I am pretty sure that he used the building editor to make the actual drawbridge.

Im pretty sure thats the only way you can do it, and make VFX for chains.

Nope, you're actually wrong on this one. I used the dungeon editor to build the six edges of the drawbridge (top, bottom, front, back, left, right) so that they were all facing up. Then I zoomed in as closely as possible and took a screenshot. From there, I went into the VFX editor and used 3D image to move each side into place. Finally, I made the animations (moving each side one-by-one) for the bridge to rise and fall. The chains were VFX icicles, I believe.
Is this the best way to do that? I doubt it. It would probably be possible to use the building editor and Event: Lay Down if you had it oriented in the correct manner. At the time, however, I was pretty new to RPGM2, and I was just doing what I could to put together the idea that I had. I think the result was pretty good.
As for seeing through the wall, I don't know what pictures/videos you're looking at, so I have no idea what exactly you're talking about. I have a feeling that you're talking about the back wall of the throne room. I don't remember how I did it exactly (I believe I've changed it now), but my guess is that it was a building event with transparency set (there is a % value of transparency you can give to events). There is a better way to make your walls transparent, and it involves making only one face have a texture: when you are looking at that face, you will see the wall. Otherwise, you will see nothing at all.

Wow, I must be a real noob at RPGM2 then because I have no idea how to do the things your talking about.

Oh, and the ladder is just a touch event that moves the party. That wasn't very hard, actually.

Ahh!!!
I remembered reading a post asking about ladders (this one) and looked for it, but couldn't find it. I posted my exact ladder scripts in the common script database topic.
