So I'm making this song for my title screen and I've ran into a little trouble.
So far I've made one harp script and one violin script for the song. I successfully finished the harp script without any errors. I also got both the harp and violin script to match up successfully. However, the problem is that in the violin script I want to hold out certain violin notes for a long time and the program just cuts short(without the stop option after it). I think they made it so that you couldn't make it that long, that it would have to end at some point. But it makes the song seem messy and bad. How could I fix this?
For example: SFX: Violin: Volume: 100, Pitch: -6 Tempo: 10 Pan: 0 Wait: 108 F Sound: Stop SFX: Violin: Volume: 100, Pitch: -2 Tempo: 10 Pan: 0
It stops before the wait finishes so the sound stop feature just stops the other notes of the harp thats playing which further messes the song up. So I guess the Violin just can't hold notes for longer than 70 F or something?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have another question, and rather than making a whole new thread I'm going to post it here.
I made the title screen for my game. I want the game to wait until the player presses a button before the multiple choice options for "New Game" and "Load Game" appear. But when I put in this:
Input: Buttons: Constant Wait Wipe All Effects Input: Multiple Choice
The Constant Wait part doesn't work and when I press a button, nothing changes. Anyone know whats wrong?
And this is sad because I've made a successful start screen before. Man am I a noob.

I don't know about your second question; I'd say try it without the Wipe All Effects command and see if it works, because otherwise what you have seems like it should work (I just have no experience using the Wipe All Effects command).
For the first, there is no simple answer. The game will cut off sounds once a certain amount of other sounds have been initiated. So, for example, yours is going Violin sound start, Harp sounds start, Harp sounds start, Harp sounds start, Harp sounds start, etc.... and at one of those Harp sounds starts the Violin is cutting off. This makes it extremely difficult to use the lasting SFX like Violin, Viola, Ocarina, Flute, Bass, etc. There is no real solution to this problem, and it's one that has bugged me tremendously in my RPGM2 custom music endeavors.
However, there is a pseudo solution that I've figured out. At Doan's website's media page you can listen to 'Adventure Time' to hear an example of this, but the trick is roughly like this:
Your current song:
Violin sound start Harp sounds start Harp sounds start Harp sounds start Harp sounds start/Violin sound cuts off Harp sounds start Harp sounds start
What you do is this:
Violin sound start Harp sounds start Harp sounds start Harp sounds start Harp sounds start/Violin sound cuts off/Violin sound starts again, same note, shorter duration, lower volume Harp sounds start Harp sounds start

Wow, thanks for the info on the music. I'll have to try that out! ;D
However, I have yet to figure out the second problem I have and its getting me angry because I don't think I am doing anything wrong. Here is the entire opening screen script.
Other: Wait 75 F Sound: BGM [Explore 1] Camera: Distance=800 150 F Other: Wait 40 F Script Control: Apply Together Sound: SFX [Bell] Effect: [The D. Bend] Party (Leader) This is a visual effect Script Control: Apply in Order Other: Wait 30 F Effect: [Press Button] Front (Opening Screen] This is a visual effect Other: Wait 10 F Input: Buttons: Constant Wait(it never gets past this point) Script Control: Apply Together Sound: BGM [None] Effect: Clear all Effects Script Control: Apply in Order Input: Multiple Choice 2(10, 12) 'New Game' Extra' Script Branch: Condition: Variable [User Choice] = +1 Sound: SFX [Magic 1] Other: Wait 3 F Teleport: Warp (Brine M. Valley) Script Condition End Script Branch: Condition: Variable [User Choice] = +2 Teleport: Warp: [Music Test Room] Script: Condition End
Thats the whole script and it won't get past that one spot in bold. But I can't find any errors in the script at all. Maybe I'm just overlooking something really obvious?

My only advice would be to move the Apply In Order command down two lines to just above the Wait 10F command. If that effect that you are calling is displaying something forever, you will never get past that line if Apply In Order is going. Just so you know, Wait commands still have the same behavior even when applied together.

When you are using Apply In Order, commands will not execute until the one before finishes. This means that if a VFX lasts forever, you will never get past it. When Apply Together is in effect, the system does the best it can to execute all commands at the same time. There are some commands which are still executed with Apply In Order, including Wait. The best advice is to place your cursor over the Apply Together command and press start. I also believe that pressing Start in the script editor will describe some of the meanings of the various icons, which includes which can be applied together.
