I've been browsing around again after a long absence and there's just something I'd like to add.
Write everything down. Don't lose it.
I spent 4 or 5 days a week for months working on my game and after a long time away from RPGM2, I decided to start back up again. Sadly, the memory card my game was on was damaged beyond repair in a flood. I'm starting all over.
There's a lot to be said for backing up your game on another memory card that you can keep in a safe, dry place, but even if I had done that, I'd have an even more difficult time picking up the basics again if I hadn't written everything I had done down.
Oh yeah, bookmark this site, too, or tattoo the address on your arm.
Probably common knowledge, but there might be someone new out there this thread might help.

I'm pretty sure one of us has a save of your game that we can e-mail to ya if ya don't want to have to start over. I'm sure I do at home. At school now. Just let me know if ya do ;-)

Oh, man, thanks Nash. Only problem is, I never gave that old game to anyone. That's pretty cool that you would have, though. Thanks anyway.

tattoo the address on your arm Might not want to do that. At some point, the message board address, and likely my own website, are both going to be changing. I have my new home network set up and I am close to being ready to host my own material. Of course, I just got billed for another whole year by my web host, but regardless, once I get some spare time, I'm going to move the website over to my own place, which will be: rpgm2.hobby-site.comThat is a free name provided by DynDNS which is constantly updated to reflect the address of my home computer. Anyways, sorry to change the subject. Good tips. It is always a good idea to keep notes somewhere about your game, because going back and figuring out what was going on is really difficult. Also, it might be a good idea to include Comment lines in complicated scripts. If memory gets tight when the game is near completion, you can always go back and delete them without causing any changes.
