Hm, you can have mini map scripts, like, enter a map, have it on, change map, change it, good sizes, bad sizes, that type of thing, maybe. Sure, I have it in my game, and it is very simple, but that may help...

You lost me... Are you suggesting that I put a map on the screen? It has nothing to do with teleportation, really...

I know it does not, but what I mean, is that you could add that to one of your sections, maybe.

hm... it really isn't portraying to scripting, though, its more of a layout issue, in which case, maps are usually shown fully on the screen, while pausing the screen, or in the lower left/right corner.
I'm more about showing beginners how scripts work, and how to get from point a to point b from scripting.

Hm, I just now finished reading it, and I like what you have got so far, I wish this was made before a I started RPGM2. Keep up the good work.
OK, I see what you are saying now, hm, I rather like it. ^^

That is really good, doyleman. I like the way that you present it; it's unlike any other RPGM2 FAQ that I've seen so far. I especially like the diagram of how all the pieces fit together because I don't think I've ever seen something like that, either, but it certainly does clear things up a bit. Great job so far.
One thing you might want to do is to simply run a spell check on it. Nothing major, I just noticed a few minor errors (e.g. "exercises" was spelled "excercises").

Awesome job, man.
If this doesn't help newbies, I don't know what will.

I have one suggestion. Either make the text white or lighten the background up a bit. It's really hard to read as-is.

cool I'm working on the next section now (not RIGHT now, but you know...). anyway, I'm a guy who learns from excercises, so I included them in the tut. should anyone else like to learn that way, also.

Well, I have been looking on the Internet, and that is the only true beginners walkthrough/FAQ I see, all the others confuse me a little, you explain everything in the smallest detail. Rare for walkthroughs/FAQ's.

A few notes: I believe that in Page Conditions, ">" does not mean "=", it actually means ">=". The reason that it behaves as it does is that Page Condition checks start from the last page and work down. So if there are three pages with
Page0. Var > 0 (note that > is actually >=) Page1. Var > 1 Page2. Var > 2
If the variable is 2 or more, Page2 will be in effect. If it is 1, then Page2 does not satisfy, so Page1 is checked, and it satisfies the conditions, so it is in effect. If it is 0, Page0 is in effect, and if it < 0, no event is displayed. At least that's how I've always thought it worked.
One other note: it would be nice to have navigation buttons at the bottom of each page to take you to the next one. A simple "Next >" hyperlink to the next section would be fine, and would save having to return to the ToC every time.
Those things aside, I think your guide is a really great idea. I like the idea of giving simple but helpful exercises, and I think what you are doing is great work.

*shrug* probably is, i dunno. Makes more sense on why if the variable condition is 3, and it's set to 100, why it's visible, lol. I'll get on that. And yeah, I'm gonna have the navigation, just got lazy and forgetful every time

Okay, I've updated the site on my CPU, just haven't uploaded it. I have the following to ask: Everyone who's given feedback: May I list you in the thanks section (it'd be a seperate page) for giving feedback? Doan: Can I put up a thank you for contribution and corrections? (a almost seemingless question, but I figured I should ask) and also, to those who have other guides, may I put up links to them, as a reference for other topics RPGM related? (like, a 'where to go, now' listing at the end of the tutorial) Anyway, thanks for your time

Oh, I think Thanks for saying 'It's good' is too much. What I did in my guide was a more general Thanks to all of the Domain since throughout my whole RPGM2 time everyone at the Domain's helped me so much. And please do link to mine! Or just link to Doan's site's page of the FAQ's since that has them all together already (it'll have mine in no time, I just sent Doan a new version with a link to yours in it, that's why it's off temporarily) and has summaries of what they are.

Oh no!! I'm so sorry to hear that, for I know how long and grueling of a task it is to make a guide for RPGM2, and I can't imagine how discouraging it would be to lose a whole half of your guide and have people counting on you to re-do what you already did and then some... Oh poop. Rest assured at least that Scripting is broad enough of a subject in RPGM2 to where there'll probably be someone willing to take over if you ever want to stop. Gl!
