[white]So, I've been working on my CBS, well, reworking actually (I have a lot of unnecessary elements). The basic controls for my CBS are in place and so far my scripts are working fine, but I've hit a wall.
Currently I've been play testing everything using multiple choice scripts, but now I'm ready to implement my VFX effects for menu navigation. The layout is rather simple, I just have VFX displaying the buttons and the commands attached to them, the problem is that I seem to have forgotten how to use VFX and the Input: Buttons: Constant Wait scripts together.
I want to display my graphics and wait for the player to press a button, thus causing a change to the VFX and opening a sub-menu (e.g. Magic -> Spell List, Item -> Inventory).
I was tempted to use a 0F setting on the VFX display, but I've had frozen games occur from using it in content scripts before. I used to know how to so this, but I've lost it somewhere over the years.
Give me a hand would you?[/white]

In the main VFX editor, look for the Marker option (towards the top of the screen), and change it to O. Make the total run time 0 (or 1, possibly) frame. This causes the wait time for the script to continue 0 frames. then, make it repeat infinately by setting loop to 0 (i think it was); followed by your input wait. vfx > clear all vfx after input, and perform your action's vfx. edit: (Had to do this... i needed to use my scanner) thar ya go
