i made a couple custom enemies and they turned out pretty good. i also made some visual effects for attacks and those came out good. but when i set an enemy to do an attack, the enemy completely freezes for 5 seconds and then does his attack, the problem is no animation happens before the attack is performed. Whats the dealio? can anyone help me with custom enemies and attacks? a guide would be helpfull as well.

Try copying/pasting a default enemy and giving him those same Abilities/Direct Effects/Events/Scripts/visuals.

I tried that, it still freezes the enemy.

My next thought would be to check out the enemy's "Enemy Action," which is the part of the game that controls what the enemy does when he dies, gets hit by something, attacks, uses a special move... plus anything custom you add such as a fleeing animation.

Try some apply together commands. This is the best way to rid of delays that certain scripts have. Another important trick is to apply together multiple called scripts.
EX: Apply together Call Script 100 Call Script 101 Call Script 102 Apply in order
