If you say the title is New Story, then we think you have a story, but since you don't we really don't have anything to run with. I suggest you supply a story for us to give you opinions.

Sorry, but, I'm not interested. I don't like to use the word cliche, so I'll use uninspired instead. Where's the emotion? The despair? The agony? The pain? The purpose? How do I grow as a person from it?

This is my opinion, but I'm not too fond of games where the only goal is to find a bunch of "somethings" to save the world... It's too cliche.

Or....maybe you could use that, but branch out more, you wanna be able to get peoples attention. So they don't turn off the game after 30mins of play or not even that.

I find these short story summaries rather pointless. They must be cliche because they are too short to be anything but. There are only nine story lines or so you can use, so how can you make anything not sound cliche?
It's really the nuts and bolts of the game that makes it interesting. How well do you develop the characters? What game mechanics will you use? what mini-games/side quests/items of interest will you have to make your game different from others? Is the dialog well written? Does everything make logical sense (imaginary things still need to follow some form of logic). Does the player feel in control of his destiny? Is the ending exciting and satisfactory? Is there any reason to play the game again (or continue playing) once you finish it? Is it fun, funny, dramatic, scary and exciting? Which one is the main feeling of the game?
Many of these questions can't be answered until the game is well on it's way to being done, so again I say it's pointless to put up a story summary since it's completely meaningless as far as whether I'd want to play the game or not.
