I don't know how many remember this, but there was a discussion about playing D&D online a while back. Ves said he'd run it but he seems to be busy (although he has been posting more lately). The main reason I being this up is that there is a discussion on the Pavilion about a program called Screen Monkey that is designed to allow people to play D&D (or any paper RPG) on the internet. The players only need a web browser and an internet conection. The DM needs the program, a High Speed conection, and a fast computer (PIII or better) but the player needs none of this. There is a free 90 minute trial version that has everything the full version has except the ability to save your game and no time limit. I thought me or Ves could download the trial and play a session and see if we like it. I don't know how good it is but it seems to work well so it's worth a trial. I'd like some input before I download it and try it out and if Ves has the time, I'll let him try it instead. For more information go to Screen Monkey

I'd be up to it, but I've barely played any of those D+D-like games so I wouldn't know how to Dungeon Master it.

you know, i totally forgot about that. in the business of my life, if something isnt given immediate and/or lots of attention, it drifts to the bottom of the to do list and is swallowed by my desk. (it gets hungry sometimes... dont laugh, so does your drier...) if you want to get things started, dw, go ahead. ill be sure to play, but it may be more fluid if you are running things. or we could even switch off. or something. shoot me an email with what you had in mind, and how you picture it working, and we can get the ball rolling.
i think we should both check out the program, and get a good concensus of functionality.
will, its okay if you havent played alot. they arent that hard, and im sure youll pick up fast. just dont try to munchkin.
