And now I have almost completed my FF CBS. I only need to set up turns for everyone. I don't really know how to do that I have a basic Idea, but I not so sure. I got turns in for the main characters, which took awhile. Any tips would be nice please. Also I need help with the camera angle. What do you suggest. Right now I have mine like BoF 1 camera. I need suggestions.
MY CBS is almost done! Yay!
EDIT by Doan - I didn't really want to have to change your thread title for you, but as the rule I posted below states, I want titles (especially in this forum) to indicate what the thread is about, mostly to help people with the same problem later so that we aren't forced to answer the same questions over and over. You can change your title later if you like (just modify this post and change the subject), but just be sure that whatever title you give it describes what you are requesting help with.

Please read the Domain rules. You will be much more likely to get help on your post if you properly title it. Then if someone later wants help with an FF CBS, they will be able to check out your post.
I don't mean to be a Nazi, but little things like this make the forums that much more functional.

congradulations on getting the battle system working. You questions are hard to answer since 1) I don't know how your battle system works so I can't suggest how to do turns besides doing it like the Default battle system does it only with the player choosing the action on the character's turn instead of the begining of battle. 2) It's hard to visualize what the camera looks like without moving it around until you find an angle you like. Every battle system has to maintain a look that is true to that system. As long as the player can see what is going on and messages don't cover the action, any camera angle is fine.

All right how I am planning on setting the turns up is to have a varible called Turn #. By checkeing each persons speed, it enters that in their Turn #. Then it tells each person to go when their # equals Turn #.
What do you think of that?
Also I need help for getting the attack and defense stuff I know Nash has told me how to get the percents or what ever, but I don't remember. Can some one tell me them?
Thanks in advance.

take the variable you want to be cut into a percent and divide it by 100 i think... i mean, that's how you get a percent by anthing else isn't it

that makes the both of us then! Well, to get a percent out of a variable, let's use variable 100 as a example
data:variable100=variable100 divided by 100. that turns var. 100 into a percent *like one* then you have to multiply variable 100 by ten. so i guess you could just divide variable 100 by 10.

Crap! Hold off on working on the percentages for a while. I posted exactly how to do them a long while ago, and put them in the tips and tricks topic at the Pavilion (in the middle or so), but the ezboards sever just went down for a while. You can go and look or I will later when the ezboard server isn't so ing screwed up the hole monkey!!

I know that FFX did this:
They would have a var called time per char&enemy
then they would have a set number for each attack and add it to time.
so if you skipped your turn they would add like ten...
then they would subtract everyone's agility from their time and whoever was at zero would have a turn...
wateva hope it helps..
