I need help with a few things for my game.
Firstly, how does the DBS work? I need to know what attacks affect hit ratio, damage dealt, damage of offensive spells, evasion and parry rates, ect.
Secondly, would it be tough to adjust the BS to include new stats? I would like to add a Mind and Charisma stat. Also, can I add a slot for an extra Accessory without too much difficulty?
Lastly, is it possible to have the following status effects in the game: berserk, consussion, and charm?
Any help is appriciated.

I personally am not a fan of the default battle system. I've never used it in any of my games, I've always made my own so I won't be a help in that department sorry. You can make all the status effects though as you have said.

Didn't I already answer these questions in the Pavilion? 1) I just answered this question on RPGMPavilion.com Check my answer there. 2) Add new stats are no problem since you can use the Normal (180-189) or Battle Variables(190-199). New stats will not show up on the battle menu however. 3) No, you can't add any accessory slots to the game. These are all hard wired. You can fake a slot with some fancy scripting, but that's a lot of time and effort that could be used to make your game better. 4) No, you can't add these to the DBS because there is no way to remove control from the player. The only way to do these conditions is through traits, which are perminate. I created a new battle system using traits, so I can have these conditions in my game. Unless you want to go the same route (and trust me it's not easy) or make your own battle system (like Nash), you're out of luck.

I just saw your answer on the Agetec boards (seperate from the Pavillion boards I believe). But I also saw somewhere that you dont go there very often anymore now that you have your own site and board to maintain. That is why I posted on both boards. But the responses were all very helpful. Thank you.

You're right, it was the Agetec board. Sorry, I got a little confused. I should have double checked. I'm glad you found the info helpful. If you have any other questions let me (and everyone else here) know and we'll try to help. I still visit the other boards, but I like this one best.

Please read the site rules. if you are going to start a new topic, please have a title that accurately discribes the topic, and what it is about. i am editing the first post to mirror this rule. again, read the site rules before posting. topic titles like 'some help please' are annoying, and they do not allow the reader any insight as to what is in the topic. for the sake of efficiency, this is prohibited in the board rules. thank you.
