I've been having some problems with having a title screen that just gives a sort of prologue to the story of my game. I can get the script for my title to work perfectly, but evertime I start the game from the beginning it will show the first town that the main character lives in. After that, the title screen event will come on. If u get what I mean, HELP!!!! How can I stop the first town from appearing until after the title screen event?
edit by Doan: I changed your title to better reflect the topic of the post. See the Forum Rules for more details on why I did this.

Make the event a system event and put it in that place's World Organization's "Enter" slot. Good luck. I think you have to be on Hrd to do it.

You can use the pre-excisting script 270: Game start 1, whos event is in the preset town for that reason - to give the game creater a place to put a script that will execute before the game starts. Put Game Start 1 in the starting towns enter map slot (you do need to be in Hard mode - change your preferences if you haven't all ready) and use call script to call your script into the Game Start 1 script. Put the call script command before the screen color command near the end so that the screen will stay black until your game start event is done. If you study the Game start 1 event and script, you can figure out what it does and create your own enter map system events. Good luck!

I'm going to post my questions here from now on. Right now, I have 2 questions.
1.) How do you end an event battle without either side losing? (ex: In fu-ma when you fought Jadece the first time, you fight him for a while and then you exit the battle when he starts having problems.) ...yeah...
2.) How do you make a cutscene without the camera focusing on your party? (ex: my party is somewhere, but the cutscene is taking place in a completely different area.)
If anyone can help, I'd appreciate it!

2) Make your party invisible then move them and mess with the camera scripts as needed.

There are a few different ways to do number one that are different and have different end results, the easiest of which is to edit the death animation to look like wait and cut the "____ died" message.

And make sure the default battle end scripts box is unchecked in the Event Battle command so that the party doesn't collect gold and experience for the fight.

1) Go to a script called enemy defeated or something like that, then copy and past this. You can edit the message that says "enemy defeated". Once you edit the message make an system event name boss message apply this script within the apply area and lace this within your enemy event.
