jet force gemini was quite possibly the best game for n64...seriously. anyway, i'm in computers class today and our final html project is to make a 4 page website using everything we've learned (*cough*chroniclegames*cough*) so i decide to make a page reviewing video games. as i'm looking for jet force gemini images, i see an image of a game box with juno, vela, and lupus on the front with mizar in the background with the title "Jet Force Gemini: Critical Aftermath" and the nintendo gamecube thingy at the top. the actual site was blocked by the filter. so i'm thinking: holy crap, are they actually (finally) coming out with a sequel?! so i go home and go to Rareware's site and find absolutely no info on any "Critical Aftermath". i do the google image search and click on the picture and go to the actual site. it seems the creator plays with images and makes boxes for games he wishes would come out... ... you have no idea how pissed off i was. www.topicalbrainstorm.dynamicfiction.net/index.htmsome of the ideas and stuff on the site are really neat though. i guess i should just face it. JFG was just too good for them to ever make a sequel. -the smurf

yeah, i especially liked the "Untold Legend of the Fierce Deity: Majora's Mask 2"
i've always thought that Oni and Majora needed a history, because they were both such great and unfinished characters.

The ironic thing is that some of these ideas are good, but if a game company happened to see them, they likely wouldn't be able to make the corresponding game because it has already been "designed" by someone not affiliated with them. Granted, the original characters and story are there, so the company certainly has rights to them, but I don't think many companies want to create a game just to have someone say, "Hey, I had that idea before this game came out: here's my website."
In the end, he may actually be hurting the chances of these games coming out by publishing covers, synopses of them.

Yeah, I too enjoyed gemini. Too bad it didn't sell that well to warant a sequel. And if there was a sequel it would be on 360. Did you know that games like Jet Force Gemini and Perfect Dark won't be on Revolutions Virtual Console? Its all too bad, but hey, better than the case of FF7 (One of my favorite games) where they make 3 spinoffs of it. Talk about milking a cow for what its worth.

Before Crisis, Advent Children, Dirge of Cerberus...
Just release a FFVII remake for crying out loud! They did it for the less than stellar classic games.

This may sound wierd, but I don't want a remake. The game is already great the way it is. Amazing graphics is not going to make it better, its going to make you forget what made the original so great.
A sculpter can't go back and modify his sculpture...
And as for the spinoffs, Advent Children is fine, I think its great closure for the fans. DoC is iffy, as long as they actually care about the property there messing with. But as for Crisis Core and Before Crisis, that is just a little too much.
Anyways back to the topic, hopefully Jet Force Gemini will get a sequel. And not fall into games like Shenmue where its confirmed that a sequel will never be made.

I'd be up for an FF7 re-make. The translation was poor on the first one (Sony did it, and I'm sure Square would've done a better translation). I would rather take a completely new game though.
Dirge of Cerberus is clearly only being made because of Devil May Cry 1-3's success, too. What bugs me more is when it's a direct sequel and it murders everything that was so great about the original (FFX-2).
