Yet another one of those "relatively simple" things that I can't get to work for some reason...
What I'd like to do is set up a script branch condition where if the player's level is greater than 1, an additional 10 Max HP will be received upon the execution of this event.
Here's what I've written...
Script Branch: Condition: Variable [Level] > 1 Member Info: [Virk] MAX HP+10 Script: Condition End
The event is set at "Equal," and I've probably spent an hour trying to figure out why when Virk walks over this event with a Level of 2, nothing happens. It seems like it should be a pretty straightforward script, but... it's just not working at all.
I haven't really had any trouble with variables before this... for example, I have a script branch that executes a certain set of actions if Virk's HP < Max HP, and that one works fine.
Any insight would be, as always, greatly appreciated.

have you loaded member info?

yeah, try puttin Game info Load or Member Info Load before the conditions, i can't remember which one works though.... hmmm....

No, I hadn't... but I just tried it, and "Load Member Info" not only makes the script execute correctly, but has also restored my faith in variables. (I was actually questioning whether I had the algebra right... that's pretty bad.)

Yeah, you have to put his member database number in the Member Number variable, and then load Member Info. His level will then be contained in the Level variable.
