I dont care how many 'hate' it, I'm a fan of the series, and was looking through the japanese official site, and stumbled upon this pokemon.kids.yahoo.co.jp/dp/news/story/story011/story011.html?page=10Some screens for the upcomming release in japan of 'diamond/pearl'. What's my opinion? ROCK ON!!!!! it looks like it's gonna finally be 3D (well, psuedo... some areas seem to be 3D) Now I have to wait an painstaking year or so till it's released state side... edit: Youtube movies!!!!!!!!! youtube.com/watch?v=1DAyHwoaNY4

Eh...I play Pokemon every now and then. Still a fun game...but I don't like the anime at all (too watered down for my taste).
I don't have a DS, so I can't play this game. But, maybe I should get one.

Honestly, I will probably get this game. There is a big chance this game will be online and it will keep me occupied for months. I too hate the anime, but the games are awesome and there is nothing kiddyish about them. So I'll meet you guys in the ring later on.

woot, been looking forward to this for a while. I have been a fan of the pokemon games since like...forever. I always pick up the new ones if I have the money. The real question though. Can it beat the amazing games gold and silver!!!!

I didn't think that gold and silver were that great at all. They were good, but not the best. There was a feel to it that just didn't belong, but I just can't put my fingers on it.

I really don't hate any of them at all, I have enjoyed playing all of them its just i loved gold and silver for all it had to offer. After beating team rocket and beating the elite four in the newer area you could head back and go to kanto to face even more adventure and collecting the badges there. It also put a bit of variety into the game with keeping track of time/days. Every tuesday and like saturday (can't remember exactly) you could go to the bug catching contest. Good times, good times

What bothers me is how they became random instead of mostly being based off of real stuff like snakes, mouses, rats, birds, etc. Also, did they ever -actually- do anything different with the story after Blue/Red? Those are the only ones I've played.

Sadly, I dont think they did, lol.
Ruby/Saphire kinda was different, what with you moving INTO your world/town, but from there, it was always 'team'____ trying to take strong pokemon ______, etc, etc.
I heard that this edition featured pre evos and evos to the olden day pokemon (red/blue). For instance, Chansy has a pre evo, Magmar/Electabuzz have a evo, evee has 2 new evos, etc.

pppppsssshhhhh Pokemon is for little fat kids who dont wear pants.................................What do you know, I am a little fat kid who doesnt wear pants haha. I personally think it will be a saweet game, although the graphics are a little Qwerky for my tatse I still think it will be saweet. But a whole new set of pokemone....I mean c'mon when is that gonna end haha. I still say they should make a big console version for a nice bang before pokemon totally dies.
