If you want to, I can give you your own forum now. Just letting you know in case you want to hold off and create an all-new topic in your own forum. Just let me know what you want your forum's name to be, and also if you want all of your "Our Created Games" topics moved there (if not, which do you want to remain in this forum?).

Yeah. I'd like my own forum. Just call "Link's RPG" for now ;D. Thanks!
EDIT: Then again, make that "Link05's RPG". And move this topic along with my "CBS or MDBS" topic to my new forum.

Link's RPG . . . . . . . . sounds like nintendo is gonna sue somebody! Just kiddin', but it almost comes off as some new Zelda spin off.

I was going to make a whole new religion (which I did), but I got a better idea. How about I post this new religion and then, you guys can see which one you like better.
Okay, here goes:
Religion: At one time, one all-mighty God ruled over the people of (country). He was a kind and just God. The people loved and respected him for the many gifts he had given them. The vast sea, the majestic mountains, the romantic moon, these were among those many gifts. All was well, until a great expedition across the world began. Many men set out to make trade and allies with other countries.
When the men had returned, they told great tales of their travels. They had picked up customs and traditions from the other countries. They also returned with many statues representing unusual deities. While traveling the world, the sailors were converted by the various religions they were exposed to. And now, they wish to introduce these gods to their people. The people were quick to convert after hearing the many tales and accomplishments of these gods.
As the years passed by, the memory of God vanished from the people’s minds. God watched in agony as his people worshipped gods that did not exist.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
So, which religion should I try. This or my first one?

I really liked the first one. Very unique. The last sentence of the first one didn't make too much sense to me though. I enjoyed the second as well. Almost as much as the first. The first one I liked better because you explained how man and the world formed. You also discussed how their many attempts to create a god who would protect them and govern them.
I liked the ending of this one a lot more than the first one though. Well, this is just an opinion, so, don't go with our suggestions if you don't feel comfortable doing so. This is my opinion, I really liked both, but the first one I enjoyed a little more.

The reason I want you guys to choose which religion you liked best is because you'll be the ones playing it. And I'd like to see which religion you'd like to see in the game. Either way, I'm comfortable with any of them. Anyway, thanks Tinbok. And everyone else, tell me which one would be better, and if any mistakes you'd wish to be fixed, just let me know, okay . BTW, Tinbok. Nice avatar ;D!

I think it's from a game that was going to be released on Gamecube, but Miyamoto changed his mind and made the Wind Waker (Not completely sure). That would have probably been an awesome game, though .

It may be from the next Zelda game. They have another one coming out.

Check under Gamecube, then put in Zelda. They should have a trailer or two for it. ;D

I think as of now the second's better since it doesn't have anything to it that doesn't make sense like the first. I think both have good potential, but the first would have to be worked on to make more believable. Also, for the second, I'd say make sure to also mention that not all the people gave up on God. That's all. I vote second based on what's been posted because it makes sense and is more believable.

The second would be much easier. And making it so one group of people would follow the new gods while another would still remain loyal to God would be believable (That's a really good idea because I can probably build a story around that).
However, I still wish to hear other opinions, so keep 'em coming! ;D
EDIT:
BTW, Doan. Due to my name change, I prefer my forum to be "Hitou's RPG". I know I may have been a pain in the ass about all of this, but I'm kind of psyched about the idea ;D.

I think the first idea is more interesting and with some work could make for an interesting world view. However, it would be hard to implement this in the game unless the whole game was about finding the true origins of the world.
The second idea is simple and strightforward. It would be much easier to fit this idea into the world and make it work. If religion is not important (or of minor importance) to your story, I suggest going for the second idea.

I've decided to select the second religion. Now, I'm going to work on the actual part of my story. Thanks.

I've written down a basic intro scene for my game, which introduces the main character and his rival (not going to say much right now, because it could change). At the moment, I'm attempting to make my character your "not so typical good guy" hero. You'll probably soon see why. But right now, I have my lips sealed .

Status Report: I've reached writer's block, so I'll have to wait until inspiration hits me again. Anyway, what I've written so far covers the opening scenes in my game (as you may well guess). It's written in the format of a short story (with narration and dialogue) and most of it may take place before the title screen comes up (Don't worry. It won't involve too much dialogue). Part of the opening sequence will involve a short dungeon with no (or a few) battles (just a couple of puzzles), so that should keep you busy for the first couple minutes. But, you'll get the picture soon enough.

Okay. I'm finally back on track. Anyway, I had a topic here earlier called "Main Plot", which was a small summary of the problem of the main character in my game. I've deleted that topic. However, I'm sure a topic just like it will be up soon enough again with more information regarding the story.
By then, I also hope to have a good title to attact more interest. As for most of the forementioned ideas and such, there's no guarantee I'll use it (I probably won't use either religion idea because I want to go for the typical polytheism religion in most RPGs). However, we'll just have to see.
Anyway, the story is based off something that is happening in my life. Sort of a personal problem, I would say.
