In an action RPG I mean. Like someone following you around and attacking enemies and such. The only possible thing I could see would make your partner's AI complete crap. Basically I was thinking trying to make the member (which would actually be an event) wandering around randomly and moving to the leader at the same time (I don't know if that is possible or not) then make them slash away randomly checking to see if they hit any enemys.
What is your view on this? Have you tried it or ever thought of trying it?

I can do it. Check my Custom Enemy AI Topic. I can even make partners that run around places with you and help you attack! Whatever, it's just how much time you wanna put into there AI.

No, you can only control the first four . . . unless you want to do all the extra work of creating scripts that allow you to interact will the others. I know Doan was planing to allow 8 member parties. The Default Combat System can only handle four characters, so you'd have to create you own combat system as well.

How about you do what I'm going to do, smurf. Make a Custom Menu and have an option that lets you choose between different party members. I'm going to have a dungeon where you can select the party members from (just to be easy) and the leader will always be in the party, unless something were to happen to make him leave (like Cloud from FF7). Then, once the player wants to leave, he/she can pressed the O button, and they'll be warped back to where they were.
If you want any help on this, I can pm you.
