Your work is EXTREMELY impressive. Please do finish a game for us to enjoy. Keep us updated. Feel free to use any of the links on my site on yours. I'll add yours to mine pretty soon (unless you don't want me to). williampaladin.tripod.com/id6.htmlI've always been a fan of your custom characters and enemies with VFX, and those vehicles are awesome too.

Thanks for the compliments..The VFX editor is the one thing I'm really good at. I'll tell you one thing tho, it amazes me how fast the memory runs out when you create anything with the VFX editor. For the body of the helicopter I used one of the Iceicles in the fire and ice effect. With the right resizing, anything can be made. Wiiliam, I definetly will add you (as well as this message board) to my site when I get my links up.. I still have a few more to add to the site. some will have VFX added parephenlia added to them. Once I get my camcorder fixed, I'll be adding some movies.

I don't think I've seen you in awhile swordkata, er, DarkHorizons. Good to see you're still around; you still using that music I composed for you many moons ago? Back on topic, those characters/vehicles look great! Looks like you've put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into some of them.

Hey Jugem. I haven't seen you in a while either..I do stil have that specially composed music you made for me, I'm just trying to find the right part of my game for it..
And in all honesty, I don't find the VFX editor intimidating or confusing in the least. Most of my effects took no more than 30 minutes to an hour(perfectionist resizing). I do find that after a while the VFX editor gets kinda repetitive and I think I'm actually running out of ideas. I just wished it was more flexible and not so limited..

Nice characters there. Which one's the helecopter? Are there supposed to be four pictures in each row? It looks like the fourth column was meant to have pictures, but there's nothing there. What's the third picture from the left on the bottom row?
And I've said it before and I'll say it again. The biggest problem with the VFX editor is the lack of visible coordinates.
EDIT: Whoops, didn't realize the vehicles were on a different page. Seems to be an empty space there too, right under the second helecoptor picture. I can't bring up a show picture option, so I don't know if there is supposed to be anything in those empty spaces or not.

Totally agree with you Draygone..It's still a major leap from RPGM1 to RPGM2.. Like I mentioned, the website is still in a state of chaos and disorder, especially the links. The empty spaces are just that, empty spaces awaiting to be filled..I did most of my picture taking with my camera phone and some didn't come out so well, so I scrapped them..

Do your VFX characters have walking animations, or are they stationary? And, do they look the same from different angles? How do you use them ingame? Are they player charcaters or NPCs?
Sorry for all the questions, just curious. They all look great. I'll add your site to my list of links.
EDIT: Done, I've added you.

EDIT: Done, I've added you. A few have animations. Some walking, some fighting..and yes they look the same from every angle. In fact you are losing out on the gret detail I've used by not seeing them from every angle. How I use them: I actually reserve a spot for them as a party character, using the character models. I name them and and make whatever original character I use totaly tranparent. When I use that character model, I use an effect(which is my VFX character) on the character model(which is transparent)..Very easy.. Some of my characters will be NPC, but most will be either part of your party or enemies. And as enemies you will actually be able to fight them in the DBS.. IVehilces will actually be used, and I have VFX add-on's, like glasses, wings, cigarettes, guns, jet pacls, capes and the such to give the original character models some uniqueness to them.

I wanted to create a cape like character attachment, but I couldn't figure out how to go about making one. Could you give me a little help on getting started?

I found that the water wave (not ripple) effect set to ultra-rapid works.
