vfxguide.tripod.com/contents.htmlI still need to post my third page of the Boobyprize Tutorial, my web connection slowed down so much I could not continue. This is the pilot run and it will be hosted here by Doan (Thank You, Sir!) soon. Formatting issues are being addressed, but here is a public place to comment. Peace.

On the FAQ page, you didn't mention the need to use Apply Together.

It's in the called script. You don't need it in both places, do you?
Wait... the screen shots were taken and the character walked around, so it is only needed in the one spot.
Thanks for thinking of it, but it's fine.
Your comment made me reread it and notice I forgot this line:
Set the efffect to display on the Party Leader.
So it was still helpful! Is that what you meant to say or did the centered text (and line break instead of paragraph break) cause you to miss the Apply Together?
More formatting is needed!
Peace.

As long as it works and it's clear to readers what made it work, it's fine with me. Sorry if I gave bad info.

That's the problem!
I didn't explain it!
Thanks, you were right about something wrong there!
I explain the use of this earlier in the guide and forgot the FAQ area should be stand alone.
I'll take care of that.
I added an Updates Box to the bottom of the contents page so people can keep track of what is being modified.
The animated gif of the Boobyprize firing is up as a teaser for page three.
The site has had more than 500 hits in just over a day!
It's ten pages, so at least 50 people have viewed it!
Peace.

I know that I said it once, but your VFX Guide is great. Just letting anyone who hasn't seen it yet in on how useful this is. I'm looking forward to seeing more.

Yes, I also like the idea of making a site for itself. Definitely very good job!! ;D The space ship's awesome - I didn't realize how much detail you went into!

Thanks Muchly!
I value the opinions of the folks here and the encouragement helps.
I had to give it it's own site because there were just so many images!
It would never all load on one page and I can't make pdf files yet (I plan a pdf for the final version, then it can be viewed offline!).
My image host monthly bandwidth has tripled, but I have plenty left. I may start splitting up the image hosts...
Anyway, Thanks again!
I'm glad this is helping people already.
Requests for FUQ content (Frequently Unanswered Questions) can be posted here too, I suppose.
Peace.

One thing you can do to save money (I know they eventually charge for more bandwith) is make two or three tripod sites and just have them link to each other.

Actually...
I'm only using tripod for the site (HTML Code and web address).
I was using another site for images on these boards and just kept the pictures all together.
When I say tripled I only went from 4% of monthly totals (on average per month) to 12% since posting the guide.
That ain't no thang!
Peace.
