Hopefully I'll actually get back into my game again, and put some content to my random scripts. This is a short scene I made a while ago (around half a year or so), and will be a couple of hours into the actual game. It just shows orchestrated events. www.youtube.com/watch?v=wBBIeEI9LqQOnce I start cleaning up the game I'll put up some more stuff about it. But considering this was made at least a half a year ago, I think I'm going to hold off any more info about my game, other than what I put up a while ago, until I get it organized again. Maybe in a month or so I'll have a tech demo to show off some of the stuff I made. I'll probably make one of the playable bass in a bit (similar to the piano in Faith of One). I also have enemies that will chase you down when you get too close, and you enter a battle. A working time and weather system, and am working on using VFX for text backgrounds instead of the standard textbox stuff. So feel free to leave comments or critism, I'm up for either (the quality is just so it's not too big for only 20 seconds of video).

Ah, now here's a man who knows how to make a dramatic scene. The ships look a little stiff moving together as one, but it would be pretty hard to make them move naturally considering how limited RPG Maker 2 is in this regard. Keep it up.

I agree with DW. It's amazing I shall say, but if the ships moved at different times it would look even more awesome.

Yeah now that I've learned how to individually control duplicate events I think I'll make some of them a little off of each other, I think I'll do it on the firing as well. And once I get back into the swing of things I'll make the buildings on fire and such. This will be the first really big scene, as this will be one of the first turning points of the game (you'll find out why in the game, though none of that is made yet). And the ending I haven't adjusted the sizes depending on what type of area you're in yet (and that is also not the main character), and the magical change of day is because the day and weather script just kicked in.
So glad to see you like it, just really trying to get myself into this again, cause I want to finish at least one game.

Yeah, it really is quite good and with the improvements you mentioned could be fantastic.

I just watched this video, and I thought it was very well done. I don't think I've ever seen that many events with scripted movement in one scene, so I have to commend you on that.

Well the beauty of it is they all run off of about 5 scripts. One for camera, one for the ship, two for the soldiers, and one to control them all. Haha learning how to abstract pays off for something. I think I'll go back today and edit those scripts to have some of them lag behind, though I still like all the people getting off at once, then later there will be fighting. So much to do.
Actually now that I look at it I'm surprised it worked, as I do duplicate events totally different now, so I'll have to rework it with the new scheme to get it to work. Apparently the way I had it actually controls all the duplicates as one event. Since it is made in a content script set to auto and not an action script.

Looks really good! I really like the little effects you added as well.
I guess the only problem is maybe the character models are too big, I understand that its a part of the world map effect, but I think making the character models 1/3 or half there size would make this great scene even better.

Yeah. It was very good. I'm amazed at how great these VFXs are (being under a rock from the RPGM2 community for so long, due to not having a Max Drive). Not to get off topic, but I was really blown away by your game's VFXs, bigfoot.

Thanks I appreciate that. But to bring this back to topic, that jet TTC made has to be, if not one of the greatest things I have seen in RPGM2. Very imaginitive stuff. I just may ask him to make me an airship for Hippy Hunt 3.

Well I'll will certainly give it a shot. All this praise about my jet is definitly flattering . Though with all the impressive things I've seen (Cows, Star Ship Enterprise, Gundams), I feel kind of wierd how impressed people are with my jet. Of course I've always been a modest person, sometimes a bit too much. Oh and I updated the plane I made a bit to have orange wings now, and added an Icicle B to make it look a bit more like a jet (with intakes sort of). So probably by the end of next week I'll finally have most of my old scripts sorted out, and be ready to make some real progress with my game, though I have had a lot of fun playing around. Well glad you all like my stuff, with the recent surge of activity and creativity it has inspired me again, and this time I will at least get enough for a good demo, though I really do plan on finishing it, just that I need to also get started on my real career path now that I'm out of college and have a degree. Of course don't expect it for a few months, as I plan on having a lot of features in it, and making it as polished as possible.
