That after all these years, this forum is slowly becoming absolutely dead. I mean yeah RPGM2 might not be as hot anymore, but damn its a real shame to see this forum go. I would actually like to try and help get this forum up and lively again, because once you play and know a good bit about RPGM2 its stuck with you (well for me anyway). Also, im actually becoming very productive in XP as well as VX so I should have some work soon. I hope we can revive our little family. Until then peace.

I check the forum almost every day and I notice that many others check in a few times a week. I think the main problem is that there is nothing to talk about. The regulars either aren't working on RPG Maker 2 stuff or are not doing anything that they need help with. New people rarely appear so there is no one to help. The chat and spam topics are pretty quiet as well, but I suppose that's because people are spending their time elsewhere. Personally, I've joined the Webcomic community to promote my comic, Dungeon Legacy and don't have time for RPGM2 any more. I'd love to work with RPG Maker XP. I bought the program soon after it came out with big plans for it but school and home work got in the way. Today, drawing my webcomic takes a huge part out of my day and that leaves me little time for other things. I'd like to continue to be a part of this community, but we need to do something so people will want to join the discussion again. Find something interesting to talk about and others will join in. If we can keep the conversation going we can keep the group from dying. It's not enough to ask that the forum not die. You need to help keep it alive. Talk about what you're doing and inspire others to join in. Keeping the forum alive begins with YOU (Yes, you, the one who is reading this right now). Keep posting and the forum won't die. If nothing is happening here then people will move on to other things. That's the way it works.

Oh yeah, I actually checked a few of your comics the other day, haven't read any just yet, but I like your art style its very unique. And the "YOU" part kinda made me chuckle, but I see where your coming from.

Truth is, we've just got to get the word out about the forum and start developing new stuff that will make this thing insane again. Maybe we've just got to make more games for people to try and different, new inventions. Such as when the jetpack was made, or walking and waiting animation, or the menu that's related to the FF menus.

We see them, don't worry just be patient on us responding.

That's what I think you're asking. If not, I will still be distant to leave you to your work. I don't want to interfere with you or anyone else until I have answered my questions by just trying it myself. I don't know how to do them, but I will try to figure out how to do it myself. Maybe then I could be at least a simple use for the website.

I didn't mean it to come out like that, and as a matter of fact its ALWAYS best to try it yourself before asking for help, or honestly you'll never learn. And another thing, just follow the rules and post appropriately and your contribution is done =).

Last I knew Doan was working on a way to make the board grow by making it cover more creative tools than just RPGM2, because most of us regulars are still doing creative things, just with other tools. I think that was about two weeks ago, when Doan told of that.

There is nothing stopping people from talking about other tools now and yet there still isn't much going on here. It's not enough to say we're going to do something, you actually have to do it.
I'm not saying Doan should hurry up and change things, I'm saying people need to take the initiative and get the conversation going. If your doing creative stuff let us know.
For example, I'm starting to get a lot of art commissions because of my art training. It's not game related but it's something I spend a lot of time doing.
So what are you doing creatively? (respond in the Chatter forum)

Alright, I've made what I could. Jetpack is still glitchy. Can I start talking again? Possibly help out?

Well forgive me for not following the topic! Yes, it is sad that this website is dying. No, I am not sorry for coming back to the topic in which was one of the first ones I posted on! So I'm sorry that I'm new to this website and am trying to catch up on all of the old great stuff so that I could contribute to this website!

Ok, I'll give you a few pointers then. This, right here, is a thread. A topic in which to discuss, if you will. This topic happens to be in the Domain Main section. This thread/topic was about the reaction of others on this board dying, not VFX jetpacks. If you want to talk about Jet Packs, here is not the appropriate place.
I'll give you a run down of the sections, and what to do in them.
Domain Main: Talk about the message board in general. Not games, creativity, designs, game creation help, etc. Things directly related to the entire Message Board.
RPGM2 Technical Help: Ask for help about RPG Maker 2 here. If you cant figure something out regarding the software RPG Maker 2, this is where you go.
RPGM2 Creative Development: Want to show off something you've done? Post a rough draft of your game/story? Or maybe show others an idea you have? This is where you go. It relates to anything regarding making something on RPG Maker 2.
Other RPG Makers: RPG Maker 2 is one of a few other makers available. RPG Maker 1 for the PSX, RPG Maker 3, RPG Maker XP, and RPG Maker XP are discussed here. Keep in mind that any topics regarding RPG Maker 2000 or RPG Maker 2003 are subject to removal, and the original poster may be banned, as these 2 softwares were not released in US and are illegal.
The Games: Once you've met a criteria, you can get your own 'mini message board' here. This is the section holding the various user's game message boards. You can discuss their games in their RESPECTIVE boards!
Domain Chatter: Discuss politics, religion, various events and going ons in the world here. Keep it civil, and on topic. This is where you are able to share your thoughts on other topics outside of RPG Making. Dont like a mayor for your town? Sorry for the hurricane events? Or maybe you're going on vacation and will take pictures? Here is where you'll share that.
Spam Away: Fart jokes, random nonsense, double posting, or just anything that has nothing to do with anything will go here. This is the fun zone. Keep within the rules of the boards (ie: nothing illegal, no flaming, etc); but otherwise, here's the playground.
Contests: We used to hold contests here. This section is about them. I dont suggest posting in here yet as its been 'dead' for 3 years almost.
Now: if you cant find a thread/topic in a certain section that you want to talk about, make your own. There is a button located near the top and bottom of the Web Browser showing 'New Topic'. You can make your own. Do feel free to in fact! Just make sure that the topic goes into the appropriate section!
Edit your posts, instead of double posting! If you reply to a topic, and you feel you need to add more info to it, instead of posting a new reply, look for the 'Modify' button, (its on the top portion of your post) and just change your post instead! Not that hard.
If you happen to talk about video games, and are aware you'll be giving key plot points away, please put the word Spoiler somewhere in it. Some people like suprises.
Thats honestly all I can think about to help you.
I dont doubt that you could contribute, in fact, I'm sure you could! But you need to keep in mind that people want to be able to find appropriate info in appropriate topics, in their respective threads. These rules are not hard to follow.
