i'm keeping the original menu for my game, but i'm programming a secondary menu for the [ ] button. It's going to allow the things the original menu wouldn't like equipping out-of-battle tools, for certain purposes outfit changes, after the first part of the game is finished you aquire a back-up army which fights for you when your first party dies, captured pets for minigames, and portalgrapgh which is like a telephone that i am programming for the game. Should be fun to make. Probably going to take up loads of space, but like i said i'm making a part 2 which you start once part 1 finishes up.

Yeah, what you've posted about your game in the various topics sounds good. I haven't replied 'cause I don't really have anything else to say but that. Um, I guess, be careful not to plan too much to where you never finish the game.

Neo, makes a good point, I have done that numerous times, I start a game, then never finish it. So becareful not to get too overwhelmed.

I have a tendency to do that too. my current game started as just a simple game that was going to be simple just for the fact that I'd finish it. Now, it's turned into something like Viewtiful Joe mixed with Symphony of the night. I just can't help myself, I'man idiot.

Not sure if you know but there is a way to add menu items to the menu, it's kinda in an inconvenient spot but it is possible.
You can also make an item like (pardon the corny name) but 'out of battle bag' and in the item's script have it run the other stuff you want it to.
This would allow you to use your [] button for other things if you wanted.
