it's like html, with brackets [] instead of html tag markers <>. For example:
[b]This should be bold[/b] [font color="FFFFFF"]White Font[/font] results in this:
This should be bold White Font
EDIT: okay, so the font color thing doesn't work, but a lot of other html stuff does simply by exchanging the html brackets for ubbc (universal bulletin board code) brackets.
