I doubt I'll decide on an "official" resolution, despite a bit of general adamancy from the soon-to-be-formed "Resolution Support Group" at work. They all want to quit smoking and/or lose weight, though, neither of which really pertain to me, so if I do decide on a resolution, I suppose I'll have to go about it without any group support. Not that it matters; the dieters will all be back to McDonald's and Mountain Dew for lunch at the end of the first week, and the smokers will all be back to a pack a day by the end of the second day. (On second thought, they might not want me in their support group anyway; I'm not really all that supportive.)

I have a couple: get in better physical shape and work harder in class. I weighed 155-160 lbs. (5'10") when I started college a little over 2 years ago. I started eating a lot of protein-rich and lifting weights so that I could get some muscle, because I used to be pretty scrawny. Pretty soon I quit lifting weights and continued eating the freshman 19-huge-meals-per-week plan, and I ended up at over 200 lbs. No one believes me when I tell them I'm that heavy (guess I carry it well) but in the 2 years since I've gotten down to about the 185-190 range. I'd like to get down around 175 with some muscle tone again, so my roommate and I are going to have to put together some kind of workout plan which will include weightlifting and basketball at the local rec center. Last quarter, I should have had 2 A's and a B or B+, but I ended up with with 1 A and 2 B-'s. I need to keep a 3.2 to keep my scholarships, and I have a 3.3 right now. I just skipped way too much class last quarter and slacked off on what could have been a comeback quarter. I have similarly easy classes this quarter (no astronomy is a plus), and I am vowing to attend at least 90% of my classes (last quarter I went to about 20-30%) and to get my assignments done as soon as possible. I have a few other resolutions: to get some real work done on my RPG (stagnant for the last 3-4 months. Sorry guys), get a job (working at Ruby Tuesday with an old girl roommate I had), and keep a time management plan. I look back on everything I did in high school, and I am ashamed of how much time I simply waste right now. I used to attend 7 hours of class, spend 2 hours on chores (feeding/letting out the dogs that my family breeds), work a part time job for an average of 3 hours a night and keep perfect straight A's while also reading for pleasure and playing plenty of basketball in my driveway. Last quarter I had about 4 hours of class a day. Period. So here's to self improvement!

My only resolution would be to have a little more patience with every thing. But everybody knows that no one sticks to their resolutions....

My resolution is to not make a resolution....Oh that's a resolution in itself....

Only one, to do as all my teachers, parents and mentors have always wanted me to:
This year I promise myself to give it everything I got and fully apply myself to every task I take.
