I was just thinking and I wanted to know how much of the system memory your game has remaining thus far.
I started my current game on a normal setting and I went through the process of deleting a huge amount of data from the start and for everything that had too much back and forth required to trash it, I simply began erasing the content in those files and wrote new stuff on top of it.
So, I was wondering where everyone else stood in terms of memory. I've got 800K +- 50K left and I'm probably 5% - 10% done with script and non graphic data and 10% - 15% done with my graphic data.
1.) How much memeory do you have left?
2.) Is anyone getting close to using up all the memory?
Nash, how much did your Zelda game have left at the end?
3.) Anybody afraid they might run out of memory before they get finished?
4.) Valk orginally said that unless we load down the memory with lots of pics we shouldn't run into a memory problem. Who thinks by this time next year some of us might be calling him a liar?

I'm at about 105,000 left, but I delete things as they come. I still have all the default VFX and I've been made copies of the ones I'm using, so there's still a good 440,000 memory (I once added up all the default VFX's memory) there, as well as other default stuff. I'm hoping I don't run out, but I may have to squeeze some of my game to fit it. I've made my whole databases for a lot of things already though, so that's why.

I doubt truly that I will run out. Expecially since there is sooo much defualt stuff I left in the game. I'm adding my VS mode today and whenever else I get time and adding more puzzles and dungeons to my game and stuff. And I have no fear of running out of mem.
~~~~ Even considering I have 8 pictured in the game!
Well, that's comforting to know. Guess I really can put in everything I want then! Thanks for the info Nash!
Images take a boatload of memory but unless you plan on making your game full of 80 or so images you don't have to worry about a memory shortage because of them.
I have 650,000 units left in my epic. I've got an hour or so of gameplay under the hood though, and many things like the CMS, CBS, some of the mini-games, secrets and new game+ options are already done. I'm probably like 10% done with my game overall.
so looks like i'm the only one struggling here. my games at about 89% completion right now, and i've got about 60,000 left. i was down to a good 30,000 before i realized what was going on (see the agetec forums for more details) so i hesitantly began deleting things. as i'm soooo close to completion i don't think i have to worry anymore tho.
-planning on finishing my game by easter!!! still need a maxdrive!!!
I plan on getting one as well. And I look forward to playing your game. As for me, considering I haven't really started my game yet , I have no clue how much memory I'm going to use up. Hopefully, I can include everything I want in my game. Of course, I'll have to delete all the maps, scripts, etc. that I'm not going to use in my game. Like BK said, Images take a lot of memory, and I plan on not using any Images. So, that should not be a problem. Edit: I didn't even realize I passed 500 posts.
