I just went to the movies and saw Sin City. This is what I thought of it. There were a lot of (earmuffs Smurf!) hot girls showing their boobs, and a lot of action/violence, two of my favorite things. However, if you don't like either of them, or if you like movies that actually have a story, a theme...or even a point you might not like it. I give it a 5 1/2 out of 10.
Oh, and it's in Black & White except for some things that have colors. Weird movie.

I'm going to go see Sahara later today, and KungFu Hustle next Saturday. I hope they're both as entertaining as they look!

I haven't heard of Sahara, but I am looking forward to Kung Fu Hustle. Looks like it should be really funny.
Ever seen Old School, Smurf?

Sahara is an action movie full of explosions and a few hot women, but the story is unbelieveable. Lot of dumb things happen that don't make logical sence and the whole story is a mess. There are so real good part to the story and it's worth seeing for the action, but you might need to shut off the critical part of your brain and ignore the story for the most part.
I agree about the review of Sin City, a very interesting movie to watch, but the stories were a bit hit an miss.
I want to see KungFu Hustle as well. Although, I hear it is like the other two movies reviewed here - cool to watch if you don't let the story interfer with your enjoyment.

I saw Envy on Sunday. Good movie starring two great actors (Jack Black and Ben Stiller) with a guest appearance by another great actor (Christopher Walken) I would give it an 8/10.
Funny movie.

I saw Meet the Fockers earlier this week. If you liked the first one, you'll like this one, too. Too bad it's the last one, De Niro was taking a beating from critics for doing a movie like this because he is considered one of the best. I thought this movie only showed that he can be a great actor in either a serious or humorous role. Damn critics.

I wanna see Kung Fu Hustle because (for anyone who's seen Shaolin Soccer) it has Stephen Crow. Personally, I liked Shaolin Soccer, but you have to have a wierd sense of humor like me to like that movie.
By the way... anyone here see Shaolin Soccer? It's kind of an underrated movie, you'd never see commercials for it in America, it's a Chinese movie I believe. Could be Japanese, not sure though.

I've not yet had a chance to see spanglish myself. Although I'm looking forward to it.
As for KungFu Hustle, it was beyond compare to anything I've ever seen. The movie dragged a bit in spots were story over ran the action and humor, but the delivery of laugh out loud action, that nearly makes you cry from laughing so hard, makes it by far one of the best movies ever. I would very much recommend this movie to everyone that even a sliver of sense of humor. Four stars by the Austin Statesman, and two big thumbs way up from me.

Blade Trinity. 9/10. This movie series is probably my favorite. Seemed like there was less fighting, but more building on the story in this one.
Plus, Dracula, "the original" makes a huge appearance.
If you liked the other too, definately see this one.

I'm not looking forward to seeing the third Star Wars...not really a fan of sci-fi movies. But anyway, anyone seen House of Wax? I've heard that it's terrible...but I was looking forward to it. Another review would be nice.

I heard the the House of Wax is bad it you expect a good horror movie but good if you look at it as a sartire of teen horror movies. Also the special effects and camera work are well done if you care about those sorts of things. There is one scene near the end that is especially well done (involves a lot of wax melting). Just don't expect to be scared and you may find you actually enjoy it.
