I'm thinking of getting a keyboard for RPGM2, since it would obviously make it a lot less painful to do the text. I don't know much about them, though, or even where I can find them. Any suggestions?

I highly recommend you get one.
Any USB keyboard will work, so if your 'puter uses one you can just swap it back and forth thereby getting a free one!
Otherwise they can be had very cheaply at electronics shows, flea markets, garage sales, and many other sources.
Good luck with it.
Peace.

Over at the Pavilion, someone posted a link to a USB Keyboard that was only $6.99 new. Any UBS keyboard will work, or you can get a USB-PS/2 converter and use a PS/2 keyboard if you have one at home. [note: a PS/2 keyboard has nothing to do with the PS2].
Look around, it shouldn't be hard to find a cheap one if you live in a well populated area.

you weren't using a keyboard from the start ?! damn, it must have taken you forEVER to make dialogue! anyway, yeah, a USB keyboard works, but i just got a USB port for my PS2 and use any normal keyboard. i highly recommend using a keyboard (i think the game itself or the box also recommends getting a keyboard), the only inconvenience i find is that i could be typing forever only to relize i have gone to the next line and have the last word on the line be cut in half at a really stupid spot. example: "Skyal: Do you have any information ab out a ninja called Kuromei?" but other than that, they make dialogue a piece of cake. mmmmmm...cake -the smurf

I've learned all the tricks to typing with the controller so that I can do it fast, but not fast at all compared to what I could do with a keyboard.
Thanks for the suggestion as well, BK, I'll definately look into it.

I have the logitech keyboard controller. It's actually quite funny: the controller's basically an X-Box controller for PS2.
