Well my RPG Maker 2 Game finally went to that roleplaying house in the sky. My PS2(Got it on opening day)decided not only did it not like being opened and fiddled around with in order to play RPGM2, but it was time to lash out and show who's the boss.. It burned some nice lines into my game. And it was all it took not to drop an elbow onto the PS2.. The worse part? Trying to find RPGM2!! I went to 5 Electronic boutiques, countless best buys and targets..Only to finally talk the manager at Gamestop to sell me a copy which was deemed defective. He said it had a few nicks on it? Hell my other disc had rail road tracks.. anyway,if we could all bow our heads for a moment to a great fallen soldier..

that sucks.
i really think they should come out with a device that burns video games, like a CD burner or a DVD burner
you know?

Rpgm2's easy to find on ebay; last time I looked I found over 30 or so (a lot of people gave up on it and try to sell it on ebay). Good luck with whatever you end up doing.

Oh, I could of easily hit up Ebay or even Electronic boutiques online stores, but I had the day off and was getting ready to spend some quality time with RPGM2, when my PS2's laser decided to play tic tac toe with the disc.. I was really in the mood to play it, so it was a 3 hour search, that fortunatley ended up in my favor..

I'm assuming that means the nicked disk works fine. Sounds like you had a lucky find.
I've had my RPG Maker 2 since a month after it was released and I've never had any problems with it or my PS2 scratching the disk. Of course I always take good care of my disk, aways putting it back in the box when I'm done.
Sorry to hear you lost your old copy of RPG Maker 2 but I'm glad you found a replacement.

at least you didn't mess up your memory card data, cause that would've been *awful*, for lack of a more colorful word...

Same thing happened to me earlier on in the summer. Luckily, I found another copy to replace it. Unfortunately, now my PS2 is down. Sometime this week, I'll send it to Sony so they can fix it.
