And The Things We Remember
I feel as though I have forgotten the place of things, the order in my chaos, the reason to my rhyme. Am I so disconnected? Is my reality so far gone? My home is unwelcoming, my fears, feeling friendly and suddenly all up is down to all that I remember.
But enough with the jaded poetry.
Nearly a year this board has been my home. Before I knew the Pavilion, before I read the RPGM Magazine, before Agetec's own board went to , this was my haven for all things RPG Maker 2. We all share one thing in common above all else - we all love to create.
This place has caused a mountain of information to both enter and exit my brain. I couldn't even imaging what knowledge has fallen out of my head this past year. So much forgotten, so much remembered. And I thought I'd share a thing remembered and maybe something forgotten (if I can think of it).
I'd have to say that of all my memories here, my most fond would be that of when I finally received my own board. The sheer awe in the recognition that Doan had decided I was ready for my own board made me so utterly overjoyed. The only other memory I'd compare that one to would be finally reaching my 1000th post.
We've all had so many memories here. Either a profound realization, a moment of awe struck, or sense of deep inspiration or admiration. Please, take a moment and share your memories with us all.

This too is my favorite RPGM site, though this one was the last one I found, its the one I could call home. We ALL were here to create, and none of us were s to eachother. At the pavilion I often see other posters trying to start something with me. But here we all actually discuss what we create, and in the other topics we are never disrespectful to each other. Its just something poeple at the other sites would never understand. Anyways we need to get everyone back! Doan said he is gonna do a massive update the 15t and 16th, so hopefully everyone will be flocking back then. Hell, all the most talented RPG Maker 2 developers have this as there main home. Like Nash, Jugem, Doyleman, Dungeon Warden, You, Doan, and.... me (hey! my VFX skills aint half bad!) plus many others, I just like to have discussions with other intelligent poeple, anyways I look forward to the day where we all will be regular posters here again.

I'll second that.
I have said repeatedly that the lack of petty bickering is what makes this my favorite RPGMaker site.
I guess my favorite memory of this site is when I realized that (even though I've only been here 9 months).
I'm glad this site is not as big as others, we'd attract undesirables.
I'll take Quality over Quantity any day!
Peace.

And I'm supposed to be a scientist?
April to September is 5 months... not 9.
That says something about either this site, or me, or both... I do not know what it says though...
Oy.

Yeah I've checked this board like atleast 10 times a day in over the past 3 quarters of a year(other than my vacation days out of town). It's kinda been my home as well and I've met tons of people of which I hope I can remain friends with all through my life. Yes this board truly does have that something that others lack, while places like the pav have attack hungry people and 99% is nothing related to rpgm in anyway or form. But ou know what I haven't done in a while, clicked doan's ads...I'll be back

thanks for all the kind words. doan and i, since this place jumped off, have worked to provide a different environment; a niche. doan is the mastermind behind it all. i remember first, when months before this place existed, doan imed me, so i would have his im (it was right after we discussed the square root function in rpgm2). months passed and my life fell apart, and i left the online communities entirely, and pretty much stopped rpgm2. then he imed me and told me he was going to be doing this because holy flame had used his guest book extensively. so the work began. and now here we are.

When I first heard that Doan was starting his own site, but first though was why? Isn't there already three sites decated to RPG Maker 2? I desided to check it out and then joined to answer a few questions some people had. Suddenly several people went from being noobs to creating some interesting scripting with RPG Maker 2. I finally found a group of people that were as interested in pushing RPGM2 to the limits as I was. Many of the greats designers on the other boards joined here and this was the only place to find great RPGM2 content. Things have slowed down lately, but with two new games coming, I hope people will get creative again and people will push RPGM3 and XP to there limits as well. That you Doan for giving us a place to meet and share out idea.

Oh, naming all my memories would be a hard feat to do. And yes, while my memory tends to slack off here and there, I remember quite a bit from these forums. I'd have to share the one where I was first welcomed here. While it embarrasses me beyond anything imaginable, I did it mostly because I was ashamed at my 'lack of knowledge' on RPGM2. I was invited here by doan, so that my question of how he made his drawbridge work, would be answered. When I came in, I was trying to hide off my identity of being 'nate_dog'. While I'm not sure if I could have actually convinced you that I wasn't him, I became to question on why I really was hiding to begin with. Going through random threads, I stumbled upon a 'Welcome Doyleman' thread, and read that most had figured out who I really was. I came clean shortly after, and was un imaginably embarrassed. That is my most fond memory from here

yeah, but it helped make my game *a little* better, and gave me info about games and stories and stuff for the future (namely, KC). and besides, if it wasn't for you, i'd have never found this place anyway.
