What happened here? The place looks like no one has been here for a while now! Is it because all of these people don't play anymore? I left for like 3 months and posts where coming in like crazy. Is anyone still at the pavillion?

Your right... sorry for asking for scripts again maybe in a few months I might be able to try it again myself if not I'll just play around with it for a bit and no need for apologies I like people like you who don't umm... how do I say it try to sweet in up there words there just strait forward and tell you what needs to be said and next time I post it will be either to help someone else or a actual question instead of wanting scripts. (now I see why I shouldn't let my "I can do anything aditude take over...")

I am trying my luck and my improved scripting skills to make a basic TBS similar to the FF tactics TBS made in Rpg Maker 2. Right now I'm not sure about everything I need help with but I do know I need three things... 1. Enemy AI 2. The X, Y, and Z script thing what ever its called to let the enemy AI know it can take physical damage and damage from magic. Here is a example: There is a little graph kind of thing under the player one area is green one is blue the enemy is in the green so it can be attacked physically and enemies in the blue or green can be attacked by magic spells. But I need the scripts on how to let the enemy know its in attack range same with the character being able to take damage. 3. I think this is right but I don't know for sure when the enemy is in range a script will turn on giving players the option to attack well I'm not 100% sure how to damage the enemy maybe I should try using a direct effect or something but I don't know for sure. Thats really all I need for now and you don't have to say it I am well aware that this can get very complicated and doesn't happen over night and thanks for helping if you do. Also I'm not sure if this would work but for the letting the enemy know if can be attacked do you think I could use events for it to trigger a flag or something?

OK I saw a youtube video and instead of when you walk in a building it takes you to a dungeon the roof disappeared and I want to do that in my game. I think I kind of get how its done but I'm not sure what I tried was to make the building into a event and when you go in the other buildings disappear so that way it can display a larger interior than what it actually is and when you walk out the buildings come back to normal. But when I tried this all of the buildings disappeared (just two) but if anyone knows a better way of doing this please let me know.

Welcome to Doans! Your project seems very promising, however, its suggested that you start with a nice simple project, there are guides for Action battle systems but unless you know what variable does what its gonna be almost nigh impossible to figure out. Mainly because the creator of the guide doesn't play RPGM2 anymore, and only a few people know how it works 100%. Anyway, I wish you luck on your project! Hmm... it seems my understanding of Rpg Maker 2 is not as great as I once thought it was. I have decided to work with a project more fitting to my understanding... well at least with this being my new goal I will be free of the more complex and confusing scripting. Well thanks for pointing me in the right direction!

OK I am working on a first person rpg in rpg maker 2 and I was wondering if anyone has or knows how to make a script for a real time battle system. Something similar to Fallout3 or Oblivion's battle system. So it would be like if the player is in the enemies field of view it would try to get in range of the player so it could attack the player and same thing with the player and NPC. I already have the camera in a FPS type of view and have the gun animations ready I still need enemy and NPC AI so they could attack each other if in contact. (they would only fight in the main quest not by random). Also I need to know how to make it so when the player uses the attack button it does damage when the enemy is in range and the weapon is facing the enemy and I need to know how to make the weapon do damage. I already have a some what basic understanding of how to make a enemy AI but its not enough for this. Any help would be much appreciated.
