I've been trying to figure out how to use traits, so far to no avail. I would like certain characters to act differently in battle.
for example, I would a character to flee if his hp got too low, or to heal an ally when their health got to a certain level.
Is there a guide out that I'm missing in my search. Thanks for any help.

I haven't posted in awhlie cause I'v been working on my Demo. The other day I came across some concept art I had done. I'm not the worlds greatest artist, but anyway. Enjoy! This is the Chen Zen's home town Eden. This is the second land you visit, Manderin Isle. The Monks of Manderin Isle live a very simple life. So there Temple wouldn't be anything grand.

Sounds very good Doan. Just a question. If you don't want to answer that is fine. Is the song a reflection of something going on in your life?

Prologue An ancient sword forged in the blood of its' victims. A blade that is coveted by many but wielded by one. Many protect, but few know why. A power so great it destroys all it touches. For this is the power of the Sword of Vengeance.

Thanks, glad to know my weeks of work have been on the right track. I'm hoping to get some more information posted over the weekend. It will be about the different wizards of the Seekers.

well that has been over done. But anything that will teach you how to use the map editor, character creation, dungeon editor, scripting and events. Something with like say one or two towns, and a single dungeon will do. If you want an idea as to what can be done with the dungeon and map editors check out my thread sword of vengeance in the creativity section. You'll have to go through a couple of pages cause I have posted a lot of pictures of my game on it.

It is best to make a short silly game. don't try to make an epic adventure right away.

Well I finally got the town of Sawyervile done. It consists of a cafe, inn, item shop, weapon shop, armor shop. Just to name a few. Here is the church. I plan to put a priest and a nun in here. How doest the stain glass window look? I'm not sure if this is Terra's dream, but I love to spend a day relaxing with the horses in a nice green field. A nice quiet place to spend the night after a long hard journey. I know it is kind of cliche' but it is an inn. This is either going to be an item shop or a pawn shop. I haven't decided yet. But I think a pawn shot will fit better in with the game theme. No town would be complete without it's traveling merchant. They can be your best friend or your worst enemy. So treat them nicely. Yes, it is a grave yard, but Terra is not standing near a ghost. She is a mourner. My camera just turned her a funny color. A town would not be complete without a friendly kitty that everyone likes. A nice stable so the horses have a place to rest after carrying their loads for their masters. The place where all adventures get their supplies. The top picture is the weapon shop and the other is of the weapon shop.

It has been quiet lately. I've been working on Sword of Vegeance. I'm developing different classes of magic users. Good luck with your game.

It has been awhile since I have posted. I have had some internet issues. But I have gotten a lot of work done on Sword of Vengeance. I'm almost done with the Drinking game. Just have to work out the ending of that mini game. So here are some pictures of the progress that has been made. A romatic spot on the Island of Rune. The Tomb of the Sword. A tomb that is guarded by an evil aura. The eye soar of Rune Island, Dune City. The most feared bandit in the world Strodham. The main villain in the game. Riven the wolf demon. Sierra, Strodham's girlfriend. Beware of the cute blobby things. Touch one and off into battle you go. Here is one of beginner monsters. So how does it look so far?

Public Awareness: Known all over the land of Twilight. Not known else where.

Public Awarness: Know by the public, but the public does not know their really goal.
M.O.: Ust the promotion of magic as a cover for their cause. Uses money to get what they want. Not shy to threaten the use magic as a threat to get what they want.
Powers: Powerful only where they have influence. Group is large. Need to have a hugh army to attack them.
Essential Systems: Orbs - these allow the Seekers to communicate with each other. They are lost with out them.
Infrastructure: Seeker Fortress, Any place that harbors natural magic.
Field Forces: Sorcerors, Wizards, Healers, Magi-Mages, Magi-Knights.
Posture: Offensive, uses magic to shield it's hideouts and resources. Will attack for a magic item.

I'm trying to make a script that displays the directional points on the screen. For example if I want the party to go north, I would like to display the letter N in the upper right hand corner. I saw something similar to this in a game created by I believe Dungeon Warden called the Sims.
I have also tried a script that would display a vehicle on the world map that had the display set to invisible. I had moderate success with this, but I ran into the problem of trying to keep track of the event and turning certain vehicles on and off. For example I had at one point 5 different vehicles showing up on the map at the same time.
I hope you can understand what I'm trying to do. Thanks for the help.

Thanks! Those are some really great ideas. I really like the society of magic and the one that only relies on strength. In fact those would make two really great continents. Now I just have to figure out how to work it into the story.

In my game I'm trying to make each land different. One of the ways I want to do this is to make a couple of different Societies each with their own Social differences. Here is the two I have come up with:
The Elderen: These people are at one with the land. They hate humans because of the way humans use Mother Earth. They feel that humans hurt the land and it's animals. The other main difference is that Farmer are held in high regard. To the Elderen Farmers have a sacred connect to Mother Earth and that is why the earth gives bares food for them. These people are so connected with the land that when they slaughter an animal for food they say a blessing for it.
Riker's Island: This is a group of small islands that house the worlds most dangerous people and the homeless. The homeless where forced here by a King who couldn't be bothered with them. There are no guards on the island, so the prisoners are left to fend for themselves. The highest group on the island is the Ninjas. (The Ninjas found a way to get off the island and find work off the land) They control what goes on. They pay the smugglers, and con artist to take advantage of the Homeless. The con artist promise a better life for the Homeless and they not having much choice accept their offer. Then the Smugglers move the Homeless between the islands. Once they arrive at their destination they are forced to work as slaves.
So what do you think? Any suggestions for different societies?

After some interruptions I was finally able to get back to work on the game.
I have added 2 temporary members and 1 new member to the party.
Seth who is going to be a temporary member is a long time friend to Terra. He gets a lot of his information about the Seekers (These are magic users who want the Sword of Vengeance) from Terra. So over they years they have developed a strong relationship, but Seth would like more out of the relationship. Terra however doesn’t realize this.
Then there is Kuzo. He is a mercenary who is known all over the world. Legend has it that if you see him you are already dead. He is easily spotted by his red jacket, cold demeanor, and his two swords. He is going to be the second temporary member.
The newest party member is Katzu. He is a pupil of Kuzo. He is very naïve about the world and this and his eagerness tend to end up getting him into trouble. No one really knows why Kuzo took Katzu on as his pupil. Some say he is being paid to toughen Katsu up.
Character Abilities
