The title and many of my recent posts say it all.
With Bigfoot and Endless Dreamer's offers, I may as well throw my services in the ring too.
I can mostly do this on weekends, but it is not a problem.
Just let me know what you want shown.
If you are uncomfortable giving out your passwords you can always just make a special cut scene as an opening an it would be easy on both of us.
30 second mpgs are easy to download. As they reach a minute some people get left out.
I have some 3 and 4 minute stuff I am trying to figure out what to do with, but that's off topic...
That's three of these services now.
What will be next?
Peace.

Nice.
Does it move with the character or is it stuck in the water?
I tried a few times to make a mirror, but could never script it right to move with the character!

I used to just keep it in the RPGM2 case because I rarely play other games.
I would just keep it in whatever case was in use and leave a game in the system.
But I got it a case and then lost it, it seems.
I have things to do this evening so don't count on it until the weekend.
I been busy trying to raise extra money myself...
Peace.

Yeah, I'm a slacker all right...
I just had trouble finding my MAX Drive disc.
At least I have the drive!
I'll get to it as soon as I find the disc... probably the next day or 2.
Sorry for the delay... I know I rarely check my email at all. I'm old and it is just not part of my routine.
Meanwhile, I'll try to come up with some sort of structure for a group project that will work.
Maybe a poll...
Peace.

Yeah, sure!
That would be really cool.
Send a picture of a cow in a position you'd like and I'll get to work right away! I'll find a picture, but it is not really needed. If this is going to be a collaborative project everyone should be free to do pretty much whatever they want. The only rule I would seek in such an effort would be to not mess with other people's work (even though I messed with Bigfoots cow, but even he agrees it was an improvement so it meets the rule). I may go back to the MOO! topic (with pictures of the cow) and add that this is an open "Domainiacs" Project (I never liked "Domainian" much). So expect the game file at the email address in your profile this afternoon (I have to find the max drive disc). And Thanx! I think I'll go start my own "Screenshot and mpg File Service" thread before I go to work. Peace.

I was thinking about turning this Bovine Mystery Project that Bigfoot and I started into an open collaboration between everyone who wants to add something.
Have you done work with the map editor intended to be used as art displayed with the Show Map command?
A Cow Continent would be a great stampeding ground for this character!
I can send you the file to work on if you like.
Peace.

Doyleman mentioned (elsewhere) that the file size was a little hard on his system. I made these and posted them at the pavilion, but as usual like to post them here too (with a different url so they last longer). So here ya go. I broke it into thirds. And I'm sorry about the file size. I asked when I posted my earlier mpg files if anyone thought they were too large (despite being zipped) and nobody said anything! If anyone else had the same problem: Did you get to see those? Do you want to see those? Making this has actually been beneficial because I learned more about how my Video capturerator works and am now even more able to create downloadable video files. I found other things while making this that are unrelated, but of which I was unaware (the manual was only a couple pages and I have to poke around to learn stuff). I think I may make 2 versions of all future samples. And Doyleman, Thanks again for speaking up. We all know that for every one who speaks up (about anything) there are many more who think the same thing silently. Peace. s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3SLN5U7JTWHO02XI8KPFJUQSFBs40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1UUJKH1WEXZ9V3MY084J8EKR28s40.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=0S4AA0D75CV230ULSDN1CP4AFU

If you downloaded the Demo1 video from Yousendit.com I just posted, it is a zip folder and actually (by a mistake on my part) contains the other video in the same folder!
I made the two files to go easier on people's downloads and seem to have defeated the purpose... but you get both videos.
Thanks for the kind words too. I am sure that wherever this Cow goes there will be amusing things happening.
Peace.

Well, the nostrils are 2 comets and the splotches are different boulders and a skull. They are embedded in the body of a resized sheep.
Except for the nostrils. They are embedded in a pink skull! That pink skull(s) is (are) the genius of Bigfoot. My cow was awful because I could not think of that particular element.
The splotches originally were 2D "particles" which gave an "edge-on playing card look to the front and back of Mr. Cow. The boulders do present unsightly bulges at those angles, but look so good at the other angles I went with them. No 3D object could be better for the eye splotch though. That is also Bigfoot's work.
If you want I'll send you a copy of the file.
Videogamedrome has more VFX weirdness (there's no password and some VFX of which I am particularly proud). I'll gladly send you that too if you wish.
Peace.

You may have heard of Bigfoot721's offer to provide VFX services. I, predictably, requested a cow. I got it in short order and was very very happy with it. He hit upon the missing element from my design (the pink bits). I had tried but failed to make a Cow I was pleased with and felt was worthy starring in a game. I did a little tweaking and have something with which I intend to create a future project. Here is a picture of The Cow! And for those who have wondered, and even those who have asked openly, just what I would do with a Cow... s60.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=36PWPQSOI269V1HKDTZ0UGTMJJIt is a temporary link to an mpg video of a quick 2 Moovie showing off the character model. It is mostly a modeling demo, but I did a couple silly things or it would not be worth posting. If the link expires and you want it renewed, just post here! Now I just have to make all the animations so it can walk, wait, be happy, and even act special. A real challange, but now that the design is here, the rest is just technical editing. I want to add another spot on the sparce side, but it will have to be a second effect. All 10 elements are accounted for in this one. But I have overlapped VFX for Videogamedrome and can do it here as well. Enjoy. Peace.

So how would I know which version I have?
I could post the save date or give some other unique information.
But why just me?
I think we all deserve to share equally in your work.
If mine is the lost version, then it can be posted again!
I'll check that date on the save if you like (it is still "crushed" on my PC).
Today is pretty full, but I can fit it in if you like.
Peace.

OK, I'll take these in order;
Nash: I will be sure to play the most current version.
Doan: I have seen that page, but am among those who check it only infrequently. I just looked and saw nothing new. I saw all your posted files and videos, but I was hoping for a playable demo of your work.
BloodKnight: I can be patient... it's not like the list is in need of more entries, I just did not want to miss a demo if it was out there somewhere.
Doyleman: I have had this on the 'puter for about three weeks, maybe four. If that is not "the good one" let me know.
Bigfoot: How could I pass up a game called Hippy Hunt?
William: Yeah, it's good to take breaks to play once in a while... you may have heard the old saying that to be a good writer you have to read. I think a similar principle applies to making games with RPGM2.
The only game I saw that I should play and is not on my list was Vanished Knights. This is getting to be a formidable list!
I'll deal with it though.
Peace.

I guess this is the best forum in which to post this announcement. Sorry if I'm wrong about that.
OK, the time is approaching for me to slow down work on my own projects and play many of your's!
The stupid contest at the pavilion is about to cut off entries and I will just throw Videogamedrome at them in whatever state it is.
Then (next week!!) I start playing other peoples stuff and wait for RPGM3 (with which I shall play for a while while playing other folks stuff).
Then it's back to The Clean Underwear Quest.
But meanwhile I want to make sure I am not missing anyone. I have downloaded on my PC the following demos/games:
Crown of Order Demo 3 Paladin (latest Demo) Zelda : Sword of Magic Genesis / Kuromei Chronicles Hippy Hunt 2 Zelda: Links Adventure
I still need to find a copy of Doan's game and I have heard good things about Plasma Dreams, but have not seen it available for download anywhere. I think that covers mostly everyone here to whom I owe some feedback. Does Vespuleth have a game / demo anywhere?
That is quite enough to keep me busy, but if I missed anyone here feel free to let me know. I work long hours and when I get back into creating The Quest I will have limited time for playing other folks stuff and giving feedback.
So speak now or forever hold your piece!
Rasbanyas Yatta Betty Futch A-Timminy Harunga!!! (I just said the word "piece" and it would have been strange to close with "Peace" after that... I would not want to be strange, now would I?).

Lateness is no problem, it just means you won't make the first draft (which is getting up against the self-imposed deadline anyhow).
And a reminder that this is the last day for voting and the last time I'll be bumping this except to announce the winner!!
It looks like a clear victory for The Boobyprize! (see other sites)
Funny, I didn't think there were that many Star Poop fans here...

That sounds good.
Try to focus on which elements can be used for what body parts. Details on specifics of resizing and orienting are what seem to give people the most trouble, so that should be the bulk of the text.
After next Sunday I must focus on assembling this mess into a presentable format, so that's the deadline.
Thanks for the offer.
I'm really gonna have my work cut out for me as I have no idea how to format this document yet... Probably a PDF file because of all the images I'll need.
But I don't have Adobe! The free trial version is good for 30 days and I am not sure I want to waste my one time free trial on a first draft.
It may just be a huge HTML file (created using Save as Web Page Complete) so I can include many images.
Given the number of images it may be a series of such files.
Unless somebody knows of a freeware "Page Maker" equivalent...
Peace.

Ya know...
All of these involve VFX Driven action.
I guess the Baseball is the most extreme example because it is more interactive.
But be sure to watch the videos (especially Boobyprize and Bugger Bugs) for examples of what I mean.
The weapons (webs for bugs and energy weapons for Boobyprize) fire by pressing the [] button.
Just to keep you informed...
And this tutorial is but a single chapter in the guide I am preparing.
The rest of the contents are not open to debate.
Peace.

The first draft VFX Editor Guide will have one step-by-step tutorial and has a tentative VD release date (Valentines Day). I narrowed it down to the above four concepts. I made short (12 second) mpg files for a quick peek. They should be small enough to present no problems for our dial up friends. The Bugger Bugs have been seen before. They are from Videogamedrome and will teach VFX Character use, Looping effects, and "Surgical" VFX removal (addressing a single effect on a screen full of 'em). s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3I7Q4Z2LBTG812LBN2ZU86WTFF=============== The Boobyprize will teach the use more than 10 elements in a single effect as well as overlapping the Surgical VFX removal technique mentioned above. s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=31YUGQDA48SQ804224QXBRNONK================== For VFX Driven action I chose my Baseball mini game. It has only a single event and is completely VFX Driven. No "moving parts" to worry about. s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=3F6NK4MYP6SOZ0HJ7MNLD24MS0================= Ducky is just there because I never posted him before. He could be a VFX Character and uses more than ten elements in his design. I may come up with a special action for him, but have not yet thought of one. s39.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=1NH6NMQTJU6VQ30H9VI2ZXU8DK======================= I plan on including all of these in a final version, but this is just a first draft. I'm posting this poll on three different RPGMaker sites, so if you want to skew the results in your favor, go to all 3 sites and vote! Ballot Box Stuffing is encouraged in this election! We ain't no Democracy! Peace.

No, please don't.
I am a rare case and do not mind learning these things. I just have no knowledge of most things gaming related, but realize there is no other way to learn and that I am posting in a community full of people truly steeped in the stuff. Just treat me like I don't know anything, but if references like that are helpful in collecting your thoughts (and most people here will get them) it's fine, really. This just does not often happen so many times in a row, so I am having fun with it.
My sarcalepsy sometimes gets taken seriously. Sorry.
Peace.
