It's a comic about inside jokes. We don't get it. We don't find the jokes funny because we weren't there to understand what they're talking about. The same thing happened the last time someone tried to make a comic about inside jokes. And another person who made a game chock-full of inside jokes also recieved negative comments about them. How are we supposed to enjoy an inside joke if we're on the outside? They're called inside jokes for a reason.

I'm used to using the folder tree, but only bring it back if you find a way for the images to not be shown in it. I can settle for clicking on the banner or the Home button to get around if you can't find a way.

Look fine to me. Mostly because I don't really remember what the old buttons looked like.

Now that you mention it, it kinda does.
BTW, the forum titles are a little better. But is it really necessary to have the same picture in the area section at the top (where it has the folders with the name of where you are)?

I think it's safe to say that there's plenty of people interested in it. Even those that don't have particular high hopes for the tool.

Yup, I've been that way. You look at something and realize that there was a better way of doing things. It's especially apparent when you compare your oldest attempts with what you're making now. Way back when (3 or 4 years ago), my games were like this:
Go to a town, go to dungeon with random enemies and almost nothing besides, rinse, repeat if you're not already asleep.
And now I try to go all-out. Makes me wonder what I was thinking in my early development days. How the heck did I think what I was doing was good, when it was in reality just plain awful?

I'm a L9 Druid on Doomhammer.
Anyway, the problem occurs at random. It usually happens when I'm attacked by an enemy, but not all the time. It could be something like AutoUpdate, I suppose. I'll have to try this stuff.
EDIT: Well, I was a L9 Druid Elf. Last I logged off, I was dead. Something skrewed up, and for some reason my body was gone. Couldn't find it anywhere. I could have myself revived at the angel, but I figured I had enough skrewups during my 9 levels that I'd start from scratch. I'm now a L1 Druid Tauren. Same server. Maybe I'll try partying this time. Hopefully now that I know the schedule of all the auto-tasks this computer has, I won't have any problems.
EDIT: Okay, that didn't work. Dunno what the problem is. I have no known way of checking if I'm missing a requirement or something. I'm giving up, it's too much of a hassle. I'm going back to EQOA. At least I know that one runs for me.

Lucky you. I've got a copy of WoW sitting here that has a 90% chance of locking up before an hour of playing has passed, and a decent chance of locking up before I get five minutes in. Not even sure what specs are lacking on this thing.

OMG! ONLINE COMIC! MUST READ!
Foruntately, the archive isn't over 100 strips long like most other comics I come across and feel like reading from start to finish.
I've been wanting to create an online comic myself, but I'm kinda unable to right now. Namely, I don't feel like paying for whatever costs it would take to keep it up.

I know what you mean. Reminds me of our last computer. A lightning strike cut out the power long enough for the computer to shut down, and when the computer came back on and was doing it's C-Drive check because it wasn't shut down properly, lightning struck again with another quick enough power outage, which pretty much left the computer in quite the pitiful state.
Now we've got a battery/power surge protector on this thing, so no problems here.

Lately? Let's see...since New Years, I've beaten...
Super Mario 64 DS Final Fantasy 6 (SNES)
...And that's it really. Whether it's a game I'm playing or a game I'm making, I really have trouble finishing games.

Well, there's a bit more detail to my name than what I posted before, so here it is. One playthrough of FFIX, I renamed Zidane as "Dragon", 'cause I was (and still am) really interested in dragons. I also started saying it with a different pronounciation to make it sound more interesting; I pronounced it as dray-gone (gone as in not here). Eventually I wanted to use that name as my screenname at the old Enix boards, but I figured that people wouldn't know how to pronounce it right (not to mention "dragon" probably was likely already taken), so I added the "y" and "e" to "dragon" so it would be easier to pronounce right. And of course, it turns out "Draygone" means "heart of a dragon", which is a coincidence. (Found this out because someone asked me 'cause he had a middle name of Draygone.)
Also, I eventually decided to make Draygone the name of the main character of a game I've yet to release. Note I'm not intending to base the character on myself, I just like the name, which is why I use it about everywhere I go online.

Here's an interesting thought. When creating your games (whether coming up with ideas or putting it together), where do you draw your inspiration from? From a game or book? Or maybe something you see outside? Like for example, when I was creating Jester's Hunt, Banjo-Kazooie was my (obvious) inspiration. Can't say what I'm looking at for inspiration for my current games. Although I could probably say that one of them is based off my dreams of adventure, along with some stuff that I simply wish a professional would try making.

I'm trying to remember what I did with Jester's Hunt. Oh wait, I remember. I left open an extra slot on the memory card for saving the game. But what would I do besides that?...
I'd probably touch up the environments. Maybe as I was going along I didn't want to put in too much detail for fear of using too much memory. Or if there was something extra I wanted to do but didn't put in for fear of not having enough memory available, I might go ahead and add it in so long as it doesn't seem forced back in.

Yeah, I'm sure others will miss it, along with some other features that undoubtedly won't be in the game (I don't expect any sort of battle animations to be available outside the battle system).

Personally, I felt that RPGM1 was missing only two things. An if/then statement, and variables besides the obvious money variable. As long as RPGM3 has those, I'll be happy. Oh, and pretty much every other option that RPGM1 had. Maybe some of the options from RPG Tsukuru 4 as well (not sure what it had, but I know it had more than RPGM1).
I'll probably miss the ability to create custom characters, but that's about it. Being forced to use stock VFX, I won't mind. I never liked creating my own VFX anyway, even in RPGM1.
Someone really needs to post a list of the available character/monster models.

I think I'm best at coming up with ideas, with a close second going to making the stuff happen. Like just recently, I started brainstorming ideas for a Metroid clone on RPGM1. I know how I'd be able to get it to work, too. Heck, if it weren't for RPGM1's rather limiting amount of sprites you can import, I actually might work on it. But as it stands, having only one enemy type besides a few bosses would be a bit boring. And along with that, even if I could throw in other regular enemies, they'd pretty much all have the same movements of left-right. But that's my favorite part of RPGM1, working with the limitations, as long as it's not hopeless to get around those limitations. I've also come up with ideas like a couple puzzle games, one semi-puzzle game where you're supposed to somehow lure escaped robots into a container to transport them back to your lab, a game similar to Lode Runner except with a few new concepts, an RPG1 game that used a custom world map (doesn't sound like much, but it was pretty decent considering RPGM1 wasn't meant to have traditional world maps), and some RPG ideas (creating stories; love creating stories, so much that I sometimes wonder how much I could earn writing a novel) with some interesting ideas for battle systems (one of which is kinda like a Strategy RPG where you set traps and ambushes in front of incoming enemy troops so that they can't reach your commander, or vice versa; actually, that one was almost made, except I couldn't think of that one last trap to fill in that empty spot on the list).
My weakest area is definately interior decoration. I just can't make insides of buildings look interesting. Dungeons, yeah, I could throw an overlooking cliff here, a rope bridge there, maybe a waterfall near it, but insides I just can't do a whole lot beyond tables, chairs, and beds. Especially in the middles of the room. The walls I could probably fill up if I'm given enough stuff, but my rooms always seem so empty otherwise. And if a house has more than one floor, then I'm going to have a real problem. There's also the map creation on RPGM2, but that's mostly because I haven't fiddled around with it enough.
EDIT: No wait, I take that back. My weakest area is definately putting these ideas into a game. I come up with so many, yet I can almost never get very far past the planning stages. I almost feel like I'd be better off making these ideas and giving them to someone to work on them for me, but I kinda worry that they won't turn out right if I'm not closely involved with development.

I wasn't aware of there being a second aim mode in TS2. Actually, I like the aiming better in TS3 anyway, since the cursor now sits in the center of the screen and you no longer have to struggle to keep it in place. I don't remember easy in Story Mode being that difficult in TS2. I tried Normal with my cousin, and we lost two or three times in the second level. The lack of extra objectives, I've noticed, and it does kinda suck. Yeah, I noticed that. There are so many characters to start with. And every stage and mode was open from the start, where in TS2 you only started with a few of each. And I did notice that the unlocked characters were too easy to obtain also. I got a bronze in one place, had to quit, unlocked a character. Got a gold later, nothing. I mean, if all you need to do is a subpar job at that stuff, what's the point of going all-out? And to make note, I got up to 20% complete in about 6 hours. Granted, I hadn't played Story Mode yet, but still... Okay, I absolutely hate it when you have to have a buddy to get the full experience of ANYTHING. This hatred started with Pokemon, and continued with Zelda: Four Swords and Final Fantasy: CC. Now they're doing that with this game? You don't even get all the speech in co-op. And don't remind me of the warping issues. The scotland level was terrible, as me and my partner wanted to go all over the place, whether it was to continue forward or to check if something was missed, and we kept being warped to spots walking in the wrong directions. Why this didn't seem to happen in the first level, I'll never know.
There are some nice improvements, though. Most notably the fact that there's an actual story going on in Story Mode, and the fact that you can create your own assault levels and have semi-outdoor areas in map maker. Which wouldn't be that bad, except the stackable pieces that can help make high walls only work on certain pieces. Still, there's something to be said about placing a scant few small platforms suspended over a large mine field and watching as all the computer opponents fall over the edge.
And they took out flame tag! That was like, one of my favorite modes! Virus just isn't the same. The sad part is, I traded in TS2 so I could get TS3. I knew something was up the moment I saw the EA Games logo pop up. The first thing I thought was "Oh great, does this mean there are going to be ads put up everywhere?"
