I think it's pretty cool, but to each his own.

...if you like them. If you don't like rap, you probably won't like this. But I personally think it's really awesome. So try it out if you think you'll like it. It's a pretty big file so if you don't think you'll like it, don't download it. Follow the link in this topic on gamefaqs: boards.gamefaqs.com/gfaqs/genmessage.php?board=197341&topic=32418867

^No, I'm pretty sure that was earlier in the game. I'm actually up to the same place as you are The Final Ruin. Here is what you should do:
Check to make sure that every world is locked(it should have a key next to it or something when you go over it with the cursor). Also, make sure you finished the Monstro world.
If it still doesn't work then come back and explain your situation. It could be that you didn't finish the Winnie the Pooh mini game but I'm almost positive that's optional.

I'm intrested in the custom music you guys are creating. No one is allowed to steal anybody else's work.
Make a copyright if you post music.

My name is 50 cent...what? You don't believe me?
Anyway, moving on, I'm gonna be a junior in highschool, I love playing poker(jetset poker baby) online and with friends. Soccer is my favorite sport and I would really like to play professionaly, but I'm no where near good enough. I also play the trumpet and sometimes piano when I compose songs for my RPG Maker games. I like playing video games. My favorite series are Final Fantasy, Metal Gear Solid, ZoE, and of course the RPG Maker games. I have a huge imagination but a small attention span(too much tv watching). I get moderate grades in school because I just procrastinate way too much. That sums me up. And I was joking about my name being 50 cent. Its really Obie Trice...what?

[shadow=red,left,300]Eh...I thought Forest Prelude was alright. I made that when I first started composing so it's not that great. Um...so how do I put up a link for you guys to download them if you wanted to?[/shadow]

Rate them... ;D Yeah, there not great, but give them a chance anyways. BTW, the last two aren't really new, but I just left them up because I'm still going to use them in the game probably. Note- The first song is very short because it's probably only going to be a title screen background song. www.freewebs.com/rpgmaker2games/media.htmThanks to anyone who checks them out. Please give me some feedback or suggestions on what I should do for these songs in the future.

Nice idea, I like it. It seems unique, but a little more detail would be nice. What's the main focus of the game. Traveling to different planets and building forts, or fighting the aliens? Or both at the same time? And can you fail your mission if you do not build enough forts on these planets to win the war? Anyway, just some thoughts. Nice start though. BTW, as you probably already know, the programming involved in making a game such as that would be very complex and time consuming. EDIT: I just realized I already posted in this thread...

The stories pretty good...but as you said it would take a load of time and extremely hard work to get it done.

I always have inspiration...but lack of knowledge in RPG Maker 2 is what holds me back.
What I always do when I need inspiration is I look at other people's work. If I can't learn or find anything doing that I take a break for a month or so, and then return fresh.

Yeah, something I've personally composed probably. Not like I'll ever get around to making an RPG Maker 2 game anyway though...

I'm not too good with scripts so I'll pass because I'll just mess it up. I'm looking forward to see what you guys come up with.

Yeah, Reality, it would really help if you could. Thanks for helping! But don't be expecting anything soon. I would say, at the soonest, I'll get something in 3-4 months. Thanks again!

Thank you, and I appreciate the feedback. Yeah, I'm not far into the project at all, and I'm still just learning some complicated scripts and ways of making cutscenes, so it'll probably take me awhile to get the hang of it too.
And I see what your saying about showing it to someone else to make comments on it. And your right, my family are not good critics at all. I'll probably show it to one of my close friends who helped me create a story for RPG Maker 2 a long time ago.
Again, thanks for the response and support. BTW, I have a site for the game too, except I'm going to add more things to it(like music, screenshots, and videos) before I put it up). It'll probably be up in 1-2 months.

Ok, thanks! As for the different races, I would like to make them look different than humans but I don't think I can with the limited character models given. But I will look into it and mess around a little bit. Thanks for the response!

It's been awhile since I contributed anything but I finally got an idea for a story.
To Doan: Thanks for the story contribution you gave me(awhile ago). I tried working on it but I really am a noob at RPG Maker 2 and I don't think you would have liked the game, and the gameplay was very unbalanced so I scrapped the project. That story is open to you and I will send what you gave me if you still want to use it. Thanks for the help anyway though!
Ok, as for this story-
Deston Chronicles
World- Set in the world of Dratoria, where a vast amount of cultures live, the player will get to explore all types of terrain- forests, open fields, cities, towns, villages, swamps, mountains, caves...
I'll post some pictures of some of these places. I'm going to really concentrate a lot of my efforts on making the environments believable and making them look nice.
Characters(These can be either protaganists or antagonists, but I won't reveal all of them because it would spoil the story)
Arial- A loyal general to the abandoned nation of Ratair. He searches for a way to restore his home land and to find the source of what ruined it. Currently, Ratair is filled with a lot of poverty, crime, and unorganization. They have failed to obtain a government and the people live on their own, and fight for themselves. Syran(Main protaganist- A young boy(a cliche, I know) looking for excitement and adventure. He left his hometown of Cradia after the invasion by the kingdom of Ivale. He travels around the world seeing the sites and looking for treasure. He often gets so anxious and excited that he does things, often dangerous things, without thinking. He only slightly remembers his parents and does not know if they are living or not. He travels with his friend... Treyor- A thirty five year old man who is strong and smart. He has watched over Syran ever since they left Cradia together a year ago. He is often dragged along with Syran in adventures...which usually get them into a lot of trouble. However, they never steal because it goes against their principles. This doesn't stop them from getting into trouble though. Merrit- A theif in the city of Balzore. He trusts nobody and doesn't have a single friend or family member. He depends on the money and food he steals to live. He is a very wanted man, not just in Balzore, but in many other cities as well.
More to come...
Kingdoms-
Ratair- Once inhabited by a group of very strong and brave humans, after the mysterious disaster wiped out the city and turned it into ruins, the kingdom has fallen apart. Cradia- Where Syran and Treyor were raised, Cradia was an average kingdom which focused it's efforts on peace. Due to their small military force they were easily invaded by Ivale. Ivale- In terms of military force, Ivale is on top. They have the largest army and the greatest generals. In their history, they have destroyed two kingdoms and adopted their lands and people into their own. Bareks- The only kingdom not ruled by humans. They have been at constant war with the humans. The reason is simply because they are different.
Cultures- Humans- Most of the kingdoms of Dratoria are inhabited by humans and ruled by humans. Oakens- Small creatures that live high up in the mountains, beyond where any airship could ever travel. Highly skilled in magic and wizardry, they become very important to Syran and his friends during their adventure. Bareks- The only kingdom of Dratoria that is not inhabited or ruled by the humans. They are larger and stronger than humans and have been at war with them for as long as the history of their kingdoms. However, it becomes vital for Syran and his friends to go to the Bareks kingdom and meet with the Careon Knight, leader of all the Barek kingdom. They are not welcomed... Phistens- They dwell deep in forests, caves, and sometimes even underwater. Not much is known about them but they are very knowledgable when dealing with nature. Grasts- Ghost like creatures that wander around abandoned towns, cities, and ruins. It is rumored that they are able to communicate with the dead. Many have tried to find the Grasts so that they could somehow talk with their dead family members/friends. Either they returned and were not able to find the Grasts or they were never found again.
I might add more but I don't have a lot of time so I can't make the world too large. This is all for now.
Story- The story of Deston Chronicles begins in the swamps of the Balzore Kingdom as Syran and Treyor struggle to escape the Balzore guards of the city. Although they succeed in escaping they end up getting lost in the trechorous swamp lands filled with mysterious monsters. While trying to get out of the swamps, they come upon some ruins. Syran, curiousity and excitement getting the best of him, runs inside.
Inside they find a slightly tinted green stone that they believe is very valuable. They decide to head for the famous "Cradia Market", to find the highest bidder. They find someone with great interest in the stone and they are offered a large sum of money for it. But they decide to wait a day and see if anybody else would pay higher for it.
King Ivale, currently in command of Cradia, hears of the stone. He orders soldiers to find the ones with the stone, and kill them if they refuse to give it to them.
This marks the start of a journey that brings Syran, Treyor, and many others all around Dratoria.
Themes- The themes of this game will be corruption and destiny.
Gameplay- The standard random battles gameplay system. You win money from enemies, go to stores and buy stronger weapons. Magic spells and special techniques are abtained through things called "Tech Items."
Custom Music-
Ok, this is where my question comes in. I'm going to try to put a custom song into RPG Maker 2 and I have no idea if it's going to work. So I'm going to try and save myself some time and ask some questions about making music here.
1. There are two tempos in the song I'm trying to put in the game. If I set the tempo at "60" for all the notes in the first part and in the second part I set the tempo at "100" with the same amount of wait times in both, does that mean the the tempo of the part where the notes are marked at "60" will be slower than the ones marked at "100"? Or do I have to change the wait times to make the tempo faster.
There are going to be more but I don't have time now, so I'll do it later.
Ok, I know that a lot of this probably sounds cliche. So if this sounds bad, please tell me so I don't get too far into it. If you read all that, thank you! I really appreciate it!

Thanks Dark Samurai. I'll keep that in mind for my next game. I have had a ton of moments(and I'm sure everyone has) that I could use in my game. And there is betrayal in my game so I'll try to do something similar to what a friend did to me...or what I did to a friend. Anyway, I created a new site for my game. Its not much yet, but later I'll add and change the template, coloring, everything. But right now I'm just not in the mood to do all that work so I'll finish the site later. www.freewebs.com/rpgmaker2games/

Thanks Doan for the story. I made a name that may seem confusing now but it will make sense when you actually play the game.
Its called The Dratorian Bend.
Screenshots coming soon!
Thanks again to Doan!

Alright, I am picking up RPG Maker 2 again after a little break because I ended up erasing my game accidently twice. But now I'm finally back. But I realized the stories that I created were too dull and wouldn't make for a very cool adventure, so I decided to come up with a new adventure, look, story, everything.
The problem is I have no idea where to begin. I know I want the story to deal with corruption.
Any ideas on where to begin?
Thanks in advance!
